Fiddy posts by Paul saying the same old shit about how great he is and how everyone else is an idiot.

Still, it's the weekend now, the only time in the week Paul gets to see his wife and kid so I am sure he will be spending as much time as poss with them and not arguing with people he despises on the internet.

The level of abuse here is slipping so much.

Here's the truth.

If sponsor or "whale" had waved enough money in front of any offline shooter he would of changed camps or had a foot in each one. We're all about money. If any online shooter could of earned $3,000 a set non exclusive consistently on his work he would of changed camps or had a foot in each one.

Could Roald of ever waved enough money in front of a good shooter to make him change camps or or have a foot in each one?

Could he with all his skills driving traffic, partnered with a good shooter and made enough money to keep the shooter happy?

If he could of, why didn't he?

Interesting questions. He will no doubt come up with lots of excuses. Couldn't be bothered, was earning too much doing what he was doing, didn't have the skills. All excuses that in business, well a proper business, would get laughed at.

I can't program, so employed a programer in the end we had 3. No one ever thinks WTF did we need 3 programmers for, go figure it out.

I could edit reel to reel and have learned to use a program. Didn't have time before, so I employed an editor.

Didn't want to sit on a computer correcting and sorting images, so employed someone to do it.

Didn't want to jump up and shoot every time a model walked through the doors or go to Prague on castings or do make up, or get the studio ready, or do a number of other jobs. I employed people to do it.

If I wanted to develop into another area to make more money. I didn't make excuses, I employed people.

All it takes to grow a business, is the talent to run one, the business skills and money.

Poor Paul. His wife works every day and his kid is at school so he only has the weekend to see them, and for the third weekend running he is choosing to make long posts on GFY rather than spend quality time with them

So I assume you couldn't go the extra mile to expand into paysites.

The saddest part of this thread is the lack of any decent replies. Which sponsors did diversificate, adapt into different markets, go to the other sides of porn, when they were still worth going to?

Roald knows that some sites by far out perform others. Would he of liked to own one, would he of liked more of them to send traffic to?

The obvious answer is yes, I point out the failings of online porn and his only answer is abuse or making fun of the post. The lack of a credible reply is sad.

Yes Madalton you may well sigh. You came in to late too see the glory days. Then again, you did stand in the wharehouse of Beate Uhste. Sigh!!!

As I was just a worker in the business no I couldn't. Could Herman Miller go the extra mile and sell as well as produce?

Try harder please.

Orion were mainly mail order and sold mostly toys. Laws in Germany about Mail Order Porn might of been the problem. Tell us about the laws.

I'm off to have a snack and sleep. Eva and our daughter are skiing and I finished another chapter of my life in porn.

It's too late now. Still you were just one of many who never looked outside what you were doing to expand, diversify and adapt.

Was it because you were unable to?

My annoyance with this industry is the way it accuses others for not doing what it didn't do.

And for assuming driving traffic is the be all and end all of this business. When it's clearly not on their own experience.

How many time have we seen these type of statements?

Any problem with not enough joins is put down to not enough traffic.

An affiliate saying he can convert anything given enough traffic.

He can sell anything with the right marketing.

That getting content is easy.

That getting traffic is hard.

All true if taken literally, but not sensible. Except the last one. Getting 10 surfers is easy. Getting a sale from them is the hard part.

I guess after taking abuse from dwarfs for so long, now they are seeing their results of the way the industry has been run, it's time for me to point it out.

Paul, no one doubts you have made some decent money over the years and worked hard for it and adapted when needed. But your constant babbling of repeated opinion or views and thread derailing doing so is what annoys everyone and that is why you receive so much negativity. But I'm sure you already know that.

Has anyone said that not diversifying, not employing people to fill positions the boss can't do, not looking outside of one small avenue of business is "Being a good Businessman"?

Look at what people are saying. Usually just abuse. Madalton at least attempts to point to other porn businesses that didn't stay in one narrow avenue and did diversify into many areas. He's using his knowledge to put up a counter point.

Did porn shops rely on novelties over porn for their income? Anyone who's been in a porn shop prior to the demise of the porn industry will know the answer to that.

The problem is two views of the same situation.

Some see sponsors paying affiliates a lot and giving them all the help needed. As a good thing.

I see it as, saturating online porn with poor affiliates. Taking traffic from good ones.

Some see giving away lots of free porn, as getting lots of traffic.

I see it, as losing lots of sales.

Some see staying in a single sector as good.

I see it as missing an opportunity to make more money.

Some see making a smart ass reply as cool.

I see it as a lack of a credible reply.

Here's a credible reply. People are selling their traffic to others because they make more than trying to convert it. That means they are sending it to the wrong place so they offer it to others who pay for it and send it to where it needs to go. I really don't know why you have a personal hatred for traffic sellers and buyers when they are simply trying to keep porn sales alive. Period.

Good answer and thank you.

I would agree in some cases. Excluding those selling traffic, after trying to convert it themselves.

For some selling ad space is their best way of earning a living. Ultimately many sell traffic, some on bulk per 1,000s some on rev share sending t to others. Because they can't convert it themselves and earn more.

I have no hatred for traffic sellers and buyers. Only sadness that keeping the porn business alive has come to this.

Hatred is far too strong a word.
