Give us your opinion and earn free content

As you know we are always looking to improve our sites in the way they present the content. And recently we've had some comments that our sites are confusing to navigate.

So take a look at Paul Markham Content Store

Or our other store Bargain Basement Content Store

You can log in by using these log/pass.

Any suggestions we use will be paid for in content, minimum $100. If someone comes up with a small improvement and up to $500 for a big one.

The idea of having two ius that the content on PMCS is recent, sells well and has a restrictions on its use. Where as the content on BBCS is older, cheaper and you can do most things with is barring reselling it. It's basically content for affiliates. Both sites have different licenses for the content.

First thing: the bargain basement front page does not fit on an 800*600. The green flash thing ends up on top of half the logo.

A view more large preview pics on BBCS wouldn't hurt. 1 picture is most often not enough to ensure the quality of a set, about 4 would give a better indication and thus better sales.

On BBCS, putting up a single "news" page on the main page, announcing a few sets with small thumbnails and a little text would do well I think.
Right now it looks like just a shopping cart, and gives the impression that very little work has been put into it.

On BBCS, replace "search filters" with "categories". Makes it a bit more clear what it meant.

The text about the imporrtantce of USC 18 2257 info really doesn't need to be on every page. Instead, put up a big link to it on the main page, and give it it's very own page.

Make it more clear that the site is affiliated to the Paul Markham content store. That way, you can benefit from your own credibility. People will know they're not being screwed and that they'll get quality. Just say something like "This is Paul Markham's Special Offer site" or something like that.

Hi Charly Nice looking site ya have, I use to buy lots of content but stayed away from content sites that require passwordds and logins just a hassle imo taking a look so far where you have 0-19 20-39 40-59 60-79 80-99 100-119 120-139 140-159 160-179 180-199 200-219 220-239 240-259 260-279 280-299 300-306
I would but something on top of that like

MORE SETS OF THIS TYPE OF CONTENT
0-19 20-39 40-59 60-79 80-99 100-119 120-139 140-159 160-179 180-199 200-219 220-239 240-259 260-279 280-299 300-306

also instead of one big thumbnail have like 4 thumbs in a table like
1st 2nd
3rd 4th
Maybe that will help the webmaster choose faster. For the left nav bar it would prolly be easier to have it on the top and bottom or even floating *shrugs* goodl uck mate nice site too and pretty pics

The "add to basket" and "view thumbs" images seem a bit too large. I think text images with a *small* icon would look better.

On BBCS, you may want to include the same kind of links to categories on the side as on PMCS. I know I would look for those first, and it gives a better indication of what can be found on the site.

Putting up a FAQ would also be a good idea.

Make the "set attributes" clickable and let them lead to the page you would get when using that term as a search filter.

On BBCS, put the categories in the search filter dropdown thing in <i>alphabetical order</i>. The way it is now you have to search for a category in small text, which is annoying.

On BBCS, above the sets you now have links like this:

User menu:My basketMy detailsView content

Put some spaces between the links as well, the way it is now looks a bit bad. Isn't this much better?

User menu : My basket | My details | View content

Thanks keep them coming. We will be giving away some content I can see.

The thing about registering and logging in is a tricky one. Let me explain.

We have a shopping basket system that keeps all your info inside it, we and you can see what you have bought, or what you have laid aside for a later purchase, it also stops you from buying the same set twice.

It allows us to see who you are, late last year a guy logged in who apparently owns Yahoo and was going to put the content up on Yahoo. We sell a license and need to know who we are selling it to.

The last thing and the greatest benefit to the webmaster is the time it saves him. Once a week he gets an email updating him on the newest sets on the site. So he can buy a set when it's new and relatively unused. He also saves time from having to trawl around endless sites in the hope of seeing what he needs.

Just noticed something: There are sets that are both on BBCS and PMCS. That is a HUGE no-no. People buying content in bulk could buy the same set two times that way without noticing, which might piss 'm off.

GREAT Point and well taken on my part.
Ya should put this on your main page in bold letters then

Maybe it will entice the webmasters who kinda of think its a hassle to just say screw it let me try this guys content. SHRUGS

Impossible to buy the same set twice with our shopping basket.

The two sites are about to seperate in terms of content.

Just glanced the other posts so some points may be suggested before.

on paulmarkham.com
Browse by model: A page with thumbnails of the models face leading to all the sets of that model. My preferred way to surf content sites.

The option to download old sets in case they are lost for some reason I never had to use it anywhere but like it as an option.

A different link to the competion I just saw it now and I´ve surfed the site 2-3 times looking for more infor on it Even webmasters are "banner blind"

bargainbasementcontent.com

Browse by model: A page with thumbnails of the models face leading to all the sets of that model. My preferred way to surf content sites.

I would prefer a menu on the site with the different categories just like on paulmarkham.com maybe a welcome page with latest news and links to categories, special offers, license ect.

A link to the license always the first thing I check no reason to surf the site if I cant use it for the specific things I need it for no reason to surf the site

Just my

Standardize the preview thumbnails. Face, full body, side view.

Some of us need a particular build and it's hard to say with some angles.

This has been very valuable to us and I thank you. I will spend some time going through them and see which ones are applicable.

Those we use will get some content for their time and trouble.

So ICQ me or email me over the next few days so I can make sure you get the info.

ICQ is below and the email

Any more ideas are welcome.

Front page: ?Specialist In:? change to Specialists In: or Specializing In: ?

T-shirt page: The pop-up window gives me scroll bars

Login ?Area Error Notice need a space between Login and Page

Thumbnails Pages: Info Box: need some cell padding (look to tight)

May be move the big pic to the right and put a transparent watermark across the pic (harder to steal). Or tell people to scroll down to see the thumbnails on the right. On a 1024x768, I click on a few models and thought their page was under construction because ?This is a selection of compressed sample images. You receive uncompressed images.? wasn?t visible on the screen and rather than scrolling I click my back button.

Looks nice and a lot better than I could do.

The Red/Gray indicators of the sets info are a little small and some are not really easy to read.
you have enough space to widen it since there is nothing on the right. Make it bigger.
Just a suggestion.

Long live Charly

Ok here are my suggestions.

I'd use smaller thumbs on the members page so you can put up more per page like 25.

Sample galleries. Instead of adding one big sample pic and small thumbs I'd generate a centered gallery with small thumbs and making the first 3-4 of them clickable to see the large pics and the gallery could open in a new window.

The search function is not working properly. Let's say I check the filters "solo, glamour, leather/foot" and get no results at all though I have sets from you which fit all of these. You can lose sales on this.

One more thing.. you told in that interview something like that you can get fresh girls anytime so it makes no sense to shoot the same model two or more times.
I disagree.. imagine someone who builds a premium or gold avs using your sets and wants to update any of the girls' section from time to time. This webmaster, be it a newbie or midbie would not be happy for sure.

You should use pics of Eva (dressed of course) for your sig. That would make a lot of us buy from you two more often. Kinda like a hot personal touch.

here's my 2 cents...

on BBCS, when an item is added to the cart, it should pop up in a new window... i hate having to hit back everytime i add something to the cart.

The need to have it display correctly in 800x600 is a big one for sure, I have a big wide monitor, but usually try to keep surfing in 800x600 just to see what a good % of the surfers out there still see, so it came up funky for me...

Great sites though! & kicking content

on your BBCS site, that "Sort by: date - DESC" I got, but the other selections are a big more obscure, could that be cleared up somehow?

what is setID ASC ? I guess what I really didn't get was the ASC part, I get the DESC = Description....

Also on your PM content site, I bought 2 sets today, and when I wanted to add it to the 'basket' and continue shopping I was pressed to go fillout the paypal thing, and then try to go back to where I was, could you possibly make it easier to just 'add things to the basket' then do a one checkout process later?

that'd be a lill easier on the user experience imo ;)

overall the sites are great & the content is rocking...keep up the great work!

on your BBCS site, that "Sort by: date - DESC" I got, but the other selections are a big more obscure, could that be cleared up somehow?

what is setID ASC ? I guess what I really didn't get was the ASC part, I get the DESC = Description....

Also on your PM content site, I bought 2 sets today, and when I wanted to add it to the 'basket' and continue shopping I was pressed to go fillout the paypal thing, and then try to go back to where I was, could you possibly make it easier to just 'add things to the basket' then do a one checkout process later?

that'd be a lill easier on the user experience imo ;)

overall the sites are great & the content is rocking...keep up the great work!
Not sure about the 800x600, but thinking about it.

The ASC and DESC is I think meant to ascending and descending. It's gone, I complained about it last week.

Saw your order in two parts, I think you must have clicked on the check out button by mistake, it happens sometime we will have to ask if you want to check out or continue.

Thanks.

A lot of the ideas were good, we will have alook at them and see what can be done. It's down to the webmaster to make it all work.

It's down to me to keep the porn hot and flowing, cos that's what matters.

We are going to evaluate all the ideas and those that are used the original poster will be in line for some content.

Give me a week to work on it. Will not forget you.

Also Eva has to run up who has how many tickets to win the free trip to Czech. Now that should be a blast for one lucky guy or girl.

But I had an idea, good at those, how about a big get together of webmasters and Internet people here in Prague?

We have the beer, the woman, the shooters, the culture, the bordellos. What else can anyone ask for. Could be a fabulous week mid to late September.

About 25% of webmasters use 800x600, so it is well worth considering. Another option is to make a separate design for 800x600 and combine that with an automatic javascript redirect for people using that resolution.

Edit: "javascript" appears to be censored.

Sounds like a great idea, apart from the bordellos that is

hey,
I have a few advices on your Video content previews......

basically when a webmaster tries to buy content......he needs to know that the content is good......

so i think YOU WILL HAVE TO GIVE MORE PREVIEW THUMBS FOR THE VIDEO CONTENT I MEAN DISPLAY THEM along with a small SAMPLE VIDEO of abt 10 secs so that the webmaster can download it and be Assured that the content he is buying is really Good.....
you know so that content quality is shown
all this should be done on the video page itself.......

Did you actually see the page behind the sample picture. With the large sample and all the thumbs.

Make it more clear that the site is affiliated to the Paul Markham content store. That way, you can benefit from your own credibility. People will know they're not being screwed and that they'll get quality. Just say something like "This is Paul Markham's Special Offer site" or something like that.
We have used two of your ideas, thanks. Go and select $150 worth of free content from either site.

Contact me on ICQ first though.

Charly -
These comments are from looking at the BBC site.

- Put text under the model's picture (in the shopping cart) that says "click here to view set".

- In the photo set properties (when we're viewing the sample and thumbs), tell us what size the pictures will be (1024x768? 800x600?). Showing us a 640x480 picture and telling us it's compressed doesn't really tell us anything about the photos we'll be receiving - some will assume that the quality of the pic has been reduced while others will assume the size has been reduced etc etc - TELL us what the actual photos will be.

- Hire me to categorize your images. ;)
Seriously... take Tracey's set #7025 for example. You have this down as "solo", "glamour", and "leg". You've completely missed...
blonde
stockings
heels
shaved
small tits
studio
panties
thong
lingerie
smoking
Also this set shows up when sorting pictures by "Phones" - but nowhere in the set is she pictured holding a phone. (?!?)

- Change "contract for this set" to "License Agreement".
"Contract for this set" sounds like someone can hire you to do more shoots with this model.

Take anything out of the drop down menu on BBCS. It sucks to think that you have something, and you dont (BBW is the example)

The filters are also confusing, but I can see how it provies a valuable service. If I am looking for something specific, I like it. If I am just browsing, its a pain.
