Went to a chiropractor today
Those guys know their stuff. My back has been getting worse and worse these past couple of years, so I finally decided to act now before I get any older. I turned 31 today. I can't even sleep lying straight, I always have to turn the pillows to the side since my back is so arched now.
Within 30mins today, I can feel a big difference already. The amount of times he made my back 'crack' when pushing against me was insane. Looking forward to going back again in a couple of days time and correcting it some more. Anyone here currently seeing or seen a chiropractor recently ? All these hours sitting in front of a computer screen just isn't doing us all any favours at all. Look after those necks and backs people... ![]() |

I know what you mean. Are your sessions part of your health insurance coverage? It could get expensive though.

They can be expensive, but it all depends on how many sessions you need. Thankfully it looks like i've acted before it got to a stage which would require a lot of work and money. So it's wise to act as soon as possible, and not wait till you are almost crippled with pain, like many people do... |

I hear ya man. My back was so bad about 3 years ago that I was almost house ridden. Couldn't get out of a chair or my bed w/o going into major spasms. Turns out I had two badly herniated, on the verge of bursting, discs in my lower back. I started to see a chiropractor that does a different method of treatment from your every day chiropractor. You should seriously take a look into this method. It's called Upper Cervical Chiropractic.
When I went for my first visit I thought it was complete voodoo as I'm skeptical about all this type of stuff but I'm literally walking proof that they can help. I'm back skating in hockey games 2-3 times a week and playing as much golf as possible. They work with the C1 vertebra in your neck. They adjust that and the rest of your spine falls in place. It's amazing. I had done all the other treatments, standard Chiro's, pain management, epidurals, etc... Nothing worked. Def look into this method if you start to see your current one doesn't keep up w/ your needs. Good luck man! Back trouble is a mother fucker! |

Our Chiropractor has a monthly subscription service. I think it costs $200 or so and the entire family can go up to 2 times per week.
He's really good with my little ones and they love going to see "The Cracker". |

Don't be silly. Chiropractors aren't real doctors.

They might not be "real drs" But the one i went to fixed a herniated and blown disc in my back that was putting pressure on motor nerves that control my lat, chest, shoulder, and tri. I wouldnt be where I am today if it wasnt for accupuncture and chiropractic.

You should visit a doctor or an osteopath.

Not sure what your problem is, but I went through chiropractors for my back and was about to have surgery on my wrists. I was a MESS. I even tried acupuncture. Nothing helped me long term.
I studied up on ergonomics, spent the money on an awesome chair and built my office around it. Every aspect of how I work is ergonomically correct (or very close to it). That solved ALL my back problems. It doesn't even hurt now and before I felt like I had the back of a 70 year old man. My friend is a drummer and he taught me some stretching exercises that he was taught to beat carpel tunnel syndrome in the wrists. I started doing those, and still do them, and my wrists are 100%. Prior to that, I could not twist off the lid on a jug of milk. That bad. Sitting improperly at the computer for days on end did a number on me. |
