I went to another site to see what was going on. My doctor and other sites say my BMI is 24.9 but this site makes me over 60 BMI.. weird.

Total Crap. I'm 6 ft 4, and I wiegh 205, and it's telling me I have a BMI of 25, which puts me in the overwieght range. I garunfuckingtee that I'm NOT over wieght. I run 3 to 6 miles every other day, and lift in between, and I don't even have a belly.

Michael Jordan had a BMI higher than 76% of the world.
Jay Cutler, one of the best bodybuilders in the world has a BMI of 40 in his cut / training season.

BMI is horseshit and should be used on the same level as reading horoscopes.

LOL - make sure you are putting in the right "standard" if you are getting a crazy number. I changed the height to feet / inches, but didn't realize it wasn't in "pounds" for the weight, and it came back with a BMI of 60+ as well LOL

Once I adjusted, it gave me the same info I get from my doctor on BMI and where I am in comparison to most women my age here in US. Which is to say, in the middle, on the heavy side, and in need of losing some chunk LOL (also - TIL a kilo is less than 1/2 a lb.)

yeah bmi is pretty useless information for people who actually workout or have any muscle tone. If you don't exercise it becomes more relevant. I think michael phelps would even be classified as obese according to those calculators.

I wouldn't say a guy at 6' 5" and being 260lbs is grossly overweight. He should probably be in the 230-240 range depending how strong he is. If you go purely by BMI he should be around 160-211 (19-25 BMI) which is ridiculous.

Are you sure you're clicking "pounds"? the default is kg. I plugged in male/30 yrs/6'4"/145lbs and it said:

Tell me about it, I actually got down to 97kilos a few years back and never again, looked like a stick insect. Lost a heap of muscle and took far too long to get it back.
