So, over in the troll thread that LC started about Sponsorscam someone said that TheButcher was doing biz with greenguyandjim.

Now, most of us probably know that back a year or so ago Greenguy and Jim went through some kind of changes and Greenie moved the board over to his site and the greenguyandjim domain was parked.

Apparently, back in June, Jim Barnett sold the domain to the Butcher. The Butcher now has it set up as a front page into Sponsorscam.

Man, things have changed. Greenguy and Jim were pretty much the first ones I remember doing a full expose on TheButcher. Got him on to their radio show and made a fool of him. Published the Sponsorscam member list, a whole lot of shit.

For the greenguyandjim brand name to be pointing into sponsorscam is a sad sad thing, imho of course ;(

Things get fucked up when the cash flows tighten, and partnerships are one of the riskiest of business models.

It's a sad story.

Jim's wife died tragically, he got that inheritance, then the biz collapsed - a recipe for bad shit.

I remember always visiting Greenguy's site for fap material way back in the day before I was a webmaster...and now I'm trading links with him. He seems like a good dude.

No, Jim sold it to him not Greenie.

Greenguy is one person, Jim is another person. When they worked together they were called Greenguy And Jim. Once the split up the board was moved over to Greenguys place and Jim kept the domain, until last month.

I doubt very highly that Greenguy would do biz with TheButcher.

I get what you're saying, but aside from all that greenguy is still looking after the board on his domain, that's all that really matters to me anyway. He's always struck me as a straight shooter, that's where it ends for me.

The parting of the ways with Jim and the rest of the stuff that's gone on and is going on, well, it's surprising. But, life goes on right?

as far as I know, Jim's not doing anything else in the biz. Anybody else know differently?

a domain name is just a name. it's kind of a low blow bullshit move, but if you own a name you have the right to sell it. Ultimately it means nothing to the existing greenguy board. just another piece of history fading away.

the problems the biz faces are way bigger than an old name.

I had no idea the bitcher was still around. oh right, butcher, that was his name, not bitcher.
