CF or SD cards how to tell how fast?
Ok, different companies mark cards differently. Is there a site or some way to tell what cards are Faster than others???
Like how fast is this SanDisk - Ultra 32GB Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) UHS-I Class 10 Memory Card |

Can't find the page I've pointed people to in the past. It was on SanDisk site somewhere and it gave a good breakdown.
It is good to know what speed to buy for your camera and your usage. No point in buying an ultra fast card if your camera can't keep up anyway, and vice versa. Class 10 is fairly fast and is at the top end of SD card speed. |

Yes.
You can tell the speed of an SD card by the Class rating. Class 2 is slow, Class 10 is fast.

If you set it up to write to both cards simultaneously then the camera will default to the slowest card speed. Should add, it's probably only a shooting issue if you machine-gun. |

Upto 150MB/sec. Which is why it's a bit disappointing that the difference in the slots vary so much.

In most still cameras no. I?ve only ever needed a 10x when shooting video on a DSLR. When shooting stills most cameras buffer will fill up because the CAMERA can?t write fast enough to the card. Not because the card is not fast enough.
