You do remember it's Romney we're talking about right? He puts his foot in his mouth so often, Obama will kill him in the debate.

The bar is lower for Romney as he's the challenger, which is always the case for these kinds of debates. It's much easier for the challenger to win as not as much is expected out of him.

Regardless as was said above.. Repubs will say they won & Dems will say they won. Same shit, different day.

Obama would need to be drugged and tied up with a ball gag for Romney to have a chance.

Speaking as a free European however, my picture of Romney might be skewed and only his mishaps have filtered through to me. His brilliance may only have been disclosed to the privileged voters in the US of A.

Romney will have to debate Romney on almost every issue, as he's already taken both sides on everything... and then he'll probably have to debate Obama too, who is also scheduled to be at the event!

Been anticipating it for months.

IMHO it's Obamas to lose if he doesn't keep his cool.
I expect fumbles and turnovers too.

Obama needs to stay cool and not get fired up and start preaching his victories (what victories) over his term. I look forward to Romney getting under his skin and making him get fired up which is when Obama is at his worse.

With every other party being locked out of the debates, it will be it's usual meaningless farce....

....but I will still watch, just for the fun factor, and so I can judge for myself, and not have my judgement spoon fed to me by "analysts".

Those who are Democrat, will watch on Democrat leaning new's sources, who will tell them what they want to hear about the debates, and the same for Republicans on their side.

Obama will eat him alive. The one thing he is, is sharp and educated.

The two things he is. Are sharp, educated and a great speaker.

All he has to ask Romney is why God changed his mind about the Mark of Cain.

Romney has made a career out of campaigning having been a professional campaigner for almost a decade. If he doesn't win he's more of a fuckup than I thought.

You are amazing. I was watching MSNBC this morning and you just quoted one of them word for word.

It's almost as if you get paid by the Democrat Party because you have their talking points down perfectly. lol

Like everyone else said: On Fox News they will excitedly say that Romney won and Obama lost.
On MSNBC they will smirk about how Romney lost and Obama destroyed him.
CNN will be a toss up: Soledad OBrian will report that Obama won. Anderson Cooper will say it's a tie.

Romney ran for president in 2008 and lost in the primary. He ran this time won the primary and is in the general election. Meaning he probably started up around 2006 for his 2008 run.

Obama started campaigning for Senate in 2002. Took office as a U.S. senator in 2005..then spent the next two years running for President. Won the primary. Won the presidency. Spent most of 2012 campaigning.

I'd say over the last decade that they have both spent about the same amount of time campaigning.

Since they don't actually debate each other so much as recite memorized talking points I don't think we will see much in the way of fireworks unless Romney really goes for a big moment. He needs to do really well here in order to revive his dying campaign so it is possible he will try to make a bold statement or call the president out on something.

However, I don't expect that to happen so I would say in the end the it will be Obama with slight edge simply because he seems to be the one that is willing to give a few details of what he plans to do going forward to better the country. He hasn't given many details, but Romney has given none and I expect that to continue.

I've posted MANY Romney vs Romney pics and stories since this race began.

Here is Eugene Robinson's quote from today on MSNBC...

"Wednesday?s presidential debate promises sharp contrasts. One candidate wants to repeal Obamacare, one candidate invented it. One opposed the auto industry bailout, one takes credit for it. One doubts the scientific consensus about climate change, one believes in it. One wants to ?voucherize? Medicare, one wants to save it. One dismisses nearly half of Americans as a bunch of moochers, and one claims to champion the struggling middle class.

It promises to be an epic clash: Mitt Romney vs. Mitt Romney. Oh, and President Obama will be there, too."

Same sentiment, but word for word? Similar I guess, but so what? It is what i is....

Not having cable, I only hope that PBS is carrying it (which they probably are). Its as unbiased as you're going to find. Otherwise if you're into cable or sat, try CSPAN.

Basically, there's no need to watch a cable channel or listen to what ANY commentator says after it's over or before it begins. I only want to see what Romney and Obama have to say and see which one slips or shines more.

Well even if he was fully quoting he is 100% correct.

Which one of Fox's new contributes is going to actually say Romney lost if he didn't? John Bolton, Walid Phares, Pete Snyderi, Carl Rove, Jay Sekulow, Pete Snyderi, Elaine Chao? Answer is none! Carl Rove runs Romenys sup pac and the rest all our frigging Romney advisors. Shaun Hannity? Bill Riley? Yeah right ok.....

The only one playing up Romney winning the debate tonight is Christie. But that's because he wants Romneyy to fall flat on his face because he will be running in 2016 for the ticket. Shoot even Romneys own campaign is down playing the debate and says expectations low against Obama.

Mitt may have fucked himself today before the debates even start. Today he said he would likely allow children of illegals to stay in the country which will annoy the right who wants everyone brown deported. He also said he would considered reducing or removing the mortgage interest and healthcare write offs from income tax.

These things just might alienate him and cost him votes. He better be very impressive tomorrow or thing is over.

Here's what will happen.

The moderator will ask good questions.

Obama will provide good answers.

Romney will offer shit, stuffed with talking points and zingers (see http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/1...elections-2012)

Obama won't zing back. He'll just stand there letting the facts speak for themselves, keeping his composure.

Romney will sweat bullets all night. He will probably have the shits, worried about any squeakers that may be picked up by the microphones.

After its over Fox News and the Gop will congratulate him on the supposed beat-down. He'll go home, kick the help around for some stress relief, go to bed still sweating, worried, unsure. Sleep will not come to him for some time.

Obama will go home, give his wife Michele a President-Kennedy-quality shag, share a blunt and pass out, happy as fuck.

Obama 2012!

Romney may be an idiot...but Obama is definitely working on his "zingers" too.
Everybody does for this kind of thing.

Obama isn't rolling his eyes...he's here in Vegas at Lake Las Vegas Resort practicing his debate with John Kerry playing the part of Romney.

Kerry is perfect for that too...rich and stiff. lol

if I was the gauge the success of a Presidential debate I would look to the polls following it. The most interesting of them to me would be the Fox News one because recently it has been surprisingly... I cant say fair because I cant bring myself to actually say that, but recent FN polls have shown Obama with a lead which surprised me. Made the pundits go into hard core spin mode.

I'm guessing that at a certain point you can't hide from the truth any more...

Every poll I read puts Obama in the lead, and when I wake up in the morning every article on the various news sites I read is about Romney. All of the press about Romney seems bad at this point.

the liberal 'unbiased' press is definitely working hard to influence the election

It is what i is....
democracies fail because the citizens vote themselves more and more 'perks' until the revenue and respect are gone... just sayin' you know?

So you mean to tell me that every press agency in the US (including FOX) is all telling us the same exact thing, and they are all wrong?
