America should go the way of mandatory enlistment. When I speak with young people (25 to 30) from countries that have it they are so much more focused and dependable than the average American kid of the same age.

I think that has more to do with bad parenting. Parents of the 80s were lazy, mine never did anything to discipline me. Thankfully I turned out ok but I can't say the same for a lot of my old friends. It's only getting worse, kids run the show now and everyone is special or has a condition

These guys have professional sickness - and it's not because of the rain or wind, or bore.
It's because of the constant stand position - staying tall, tight - and they got problems with their backs - spine, pelvic bones and other problems concerning the same static stand.
It comes with years.

We have a similar thing with the Queens guards - In theory you can do pretty much do anything to them and they can not react in any way (not even smile) unless the Queen is threatened.

Good read regarding the Honor Guards. One of my good friends was in the Honor Guards and he said it SOUNDS easy until you are scrutinized for everything.
