Looks like moniker has cancelled my paxum creditcard

Moniker has refunded an amount to my paxum creditcard.
Paxum (Mastercard) now requires proof that this was a refund since a direct transfer from an external source is not allowed.
I have tried to get this proof from Moniker but Moniker seems to be a sinking ship.
Tickets get closed without answers and if I do get an answer it is that they are not able to find matching information.
They are unable to find back the refund even with all the transaction details I was able to provide them with.

I have tried contacting Ruth at Paxum who has always been very helpfull but I do not get the impression that she can solve this.

I have asked Paxum to just sent the money back to Moniker but this was not an option as well. They tell me that Moniker is the only one that is able to do that. Moniker can not find the transaction though so that is kind of hard.

Meanwhile I am banging my head against the wall as my 2000 usd balance gets eaten by 50 cent denial fees...

Move it back to wallet, and cancel card if you think this will go until zero balance

Thought you would be smarter than to dabble with Paxum, Pat. Nothing but a hassle, no matter how "nice" Ruth is.

Stick to the large companies and banks.

I understand that security is an issue but it seems like Paxum goes overboard at times and causes their customers a lot of hassle. If it isn't one thing it's another. It seems at every turn they require the maximum inconvenience from the customer in order to protect themselves from every little possibility no matter how slight. For example the requirement to update an expired ID baffles me. As if suddenly your identity is now unproven now that the ID expired and you are a risk.

I agree; the doc requirements are so ridiculous for establishing a validated account, I couldn't help but think they were farming for identity theft. They stopped just short of asking for my mothers high school report card.

Hi Patrick,

Unfortunately Choice bank (the provider of our Mastercards) views all external funding (including partial refunds) as an infringement of regulations and any time they see such transactions they demand an explanation. We do find this policy to be rather ridiculous and we are trying to have it removed. Unfortunately for the time being it is in place and we must abide by it, the same way we must abide by all regulations relating to our business.

I have escalated your problem internally and we are doing what we can to resolve this situation. We have reached out directly to Choice bank. It is unfortunate that Moniker is not providing you with any assistance in this matter, as a receipt from them would be the fastest solution.

While we continue to try to resolve this issue I would strongly advise that you cease trying to withdraw funds via your Paxum Mastercard as you will only incur decline fees at the current time. Please wait and we will let you know when it is okay to use your card again.

I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything further about this.

Thanks,

Ruth

I am happy to see that you agree that the Choice bank policy here is actually ridiculous.
Thanks for finally escalating the problem Ruth.

Yes offcourse. I am not the one trying to withdraw funds though but hosts and other companies with recurring costs.
I was hoping this would have been resolved in a few days so I did not see the need to disable the creditcard there. It has been dragging on for 3 weeks now though.

Something like Paxum works with sponsors for smaller payouts under 500$.
Being in Europe sponsors tend to charge me around 30$ to 40$ for international wires.
I am not even bothering anymore to cash a cheque here. If you can find a willing bank cost are around 50 euro.

have you looked at your account history?

Under account management, click on transactions, change the drop down to either all transactions or credits.

yes its there with all details. Paxum provided me with more details such as transactionnumber and exact date and time. It does not ring a bell at moniker. Even worse the sent me a new email saying that they will close the ticket since I have not replied in 48 hours (I did)

Can you print it out or take a screenshot of the credit?

BTW Moniker seems to be going downhill in the last couple years. Support sucks, they've had technical issues lately where I was getting errors managing domains because they couldn't communicate with the registries. There was the privacy snafu. They closed their affiliate program without notice. I've been moving domains out of Moniker (I have 3 left there now), I'd suggest you do the same.

I have been busy moving out domains for some months allready.
Its a lot of manual labour and I had around 500 in there so I tried to do them bunch by bunch.
As soon as this creditcard thing is fixed I will take out a day and do the remaining 250 all at once.

ps...
I think moving out domains and them renewing them to find out that they had been moved out caused the refund...either that or a redirect extras for domains that were no longer at Moniker.

Nine days have passed without any result whatsoever.
Moniker claims there was no refund.
Paxum stopped replying to my messages. The last reply I got from them is from october 24 and Ruth has also not come back to me.
Right now I am very disappointed. Not just in Moniker but also in Paxum who is handling this in a very unprofessional way.
They just stopped all communication....

After epassporte, i've been really reluctant to try any of these new company's and it seems your woes along with the countless others show there is a reason to be wary.

Hope you get it all sorted and here's a bump for you

Can't speak about Paxum, but I've had similar problems with Moniker. Their support replies seem reasonably prompt but they often seem to miss the point. Not quite as bad as Paypal's random form replies, but getting there. I tend to be somewhat verbose to try to get a problem resolved quickly (ideally on the first reply), but I find it's sometimes faster overall to state the problem very tersely and let them prompt me for more information.

I noticed that Bari's moved on...

Pat ,
I am truly sorry about the delay but we are in constant contact with our bank regarding this issue. We are hoping to have this wrapped up within the next few days if you would like to add me to skype jupzchris or icq 71462500 so i can let you know as soon as we know something please do

Ruth currently is with family and is working limited hours.

Regards

same here, after epass I haven't signed up for any new payment systems. Checks are just fine for me.

Hard to believe this is still going on.

At this point, Paxum as the service provider, should pocket the money owed to you then they can worry about getting the money back from their retarded bank.

I usually in favor of Paxum, but this kind of situation really sucks.

Why don't they find a bank without those ridiculous rules?
I think St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank doesn't have that rule :D

I am giving it one more week before completely giving up on Paxum.

Paxum is shit. They won't activate my corporate cc because it's not in the Verified by Visa program, which isn't even available for business cards, or so my bank tells me. It's like they're trying to force me to get their card or transfer a bunch of money from my bank account.

I've mainly gone back to cheques since epass folded. Less convenient and a little more costly, but established and reliable. Once bitten.

That sucks... anyway I never pay shit with my Paxum card. I only withdraw cash from an ATM with it.

Thanks for the bump.
By now I do not think very highly of Paxum anymore.

I can't believe this isn't fixed???

For those who goes with checks, and especially those paying dearly for cashing checks in Europe, try this:
http://epayservices.com/

They will give you an accountnumber, send them your check (or have the sponsor send it directly to their address with your account number) and they will receive it and cash it for you, minus their commission (about 5%) and then put the rest in your account with them. Then you can withdraw with their mastercard (also from Choice Bank, like everybody else) or have them do a direct deposit, bank wire or even send you a check for e total amount accumulated in your account.

They are Russian but with registered office and licenses in California and from January 2013 their main operating language will be English. Pretty high security too, login with your username and password, then their system will send out a one time pass code to your cellphone number and you must then enter the six digit code to be let into your account. This makes it very, very hard for someone unautorized to gain access to your account.

We appreciate your patience while this was resolved for you Pat. We are very unhappy about the amount of time this took to resolve, and we have expressed our thoughts on the matter to Choice Bank.

If any clients are experiencing a similar card block, please make sure to contact us immediately so we can investigate with the bank.

According to our agreement with Choice, cards are blocked for checking on refunds that are older than 30 days from the original transaction date. If any client has experienced a card block in relation to a refund for a transaction under 30 days old, please contact us immediately.

We have also been informed that any blocks relating to a Paypal refund will be swiftly removed. If this happens to anyone, again please contact us immediately to have the situation rectified.
