Easily the best singer around right now, her songs are effortless to her, yes they are depressing for the most part but listen to her voice and you can't say she is a bad singer. She is very annoying but for me, that voice is amazing.

When I first consider music, I don't listen too closely to lyrics, especially ballads, so I have no idea what she is singing about. I generally only pay attention to lyrics of songs that I like the melody to.

Looks aside, I find Adele's melodies mostly bland and boring.

My point was that he's heard her singing, he just doesn't realize it. 2011/2012 she had as big a year as any artist in the last decade. So even if you don't listen to her style of music, it would have been extremely difficult not to have heard something about her online or in the news.
