 Last time I got a close up view of the Italian Alps I was in the back seat of an RF-4c.... Gorgeous country, great people, food, moutains and beachs! One day I seriously need to go back and visit...

The beaches were amazing, and being a spoiled AF guy working with the flight crews I got to stay in a wicked nice hotel downtown & see some of the local community that was a bit further away from the 'base' area... As it turns out, I lucked out and got a ride on one of the reconnaissance jets that I worked with. Was a blast & a half! After that I totally understood why the pilots were kinda addicted to flying, it was a rush from hell!!! ooohhh the good old days... I think it'll be a little more fun the next time I visit as a civilian though.
