I would think most of them have lived a pretty hard life growing up gender-confused, likely shunned by many including family and constantly feeling misunderstood. That many of them grow up to be any or all the things you suggest comes as no surprise to me.

The one thing about trannies that has always baffled me is why some of them feel the need to 'trick' straight guys into sexual situations with them, a habit that comes with a high risk of resulting in the tranny getting his/her ass kicked and beaten black and blue when the guy discovers ..."it".

I think your spot on this with. I've met a few in my life and some tend to be "whores" addicted to meth or some drug just partying their way through life. If you compare that to the gay community, you'll find a lot of similarities.

Regarding either M2F or F2M (which probably have it the worst), this is not easy for them what so ever. I couldn't imagine what they go through during this transition, especially having to confront family and friends -- most of which probably disowned them, their life got turned upside down and now they are alone with no one, so of course they are going to be defense.

Most of the "trannies" people meet and talk about are either CD's that they point and say "TRANNY!" at or actual transgendered folks who you probably wouldn't even know they are born the opposite sex. I had a friend in college, "she" used to work at the clothing store in the mall across from where I worked at, but just looking at her, you knew something wasn't "right." I approached her one day; granted at this time I'm pushing tranny/shemale porn sites so I'm looking for some tips to increase my $$$, and wanted to see if she wanted to grab lunch at the mall.

She was nice and told me that no one talks to her because "[she] has a secret." I looked at her and said "I'm pretty sure I can guess, but I don't care and don't judge you."
