LOL. Can't you read the opening post?... Seriously, that was exactly what he doesn't want to do. Just sayin...

Do you think chatting with others, being a "Good Guy" to get friends, and trying to do networking in this business will help you?.. lol. Don't waste your time, just invest your time in trying to learn things by YOURSELF, don't expect others to help you, or try to get that "Email" with secret magic info that will make you rich. That is not gonna happen...

Again, invest time in learning by your own. All the info is out there. Nobody else will make you money, but yourself.

Just sayin...
If you don't believe networking will help your business, I urge you to reconsider immediately. Speaking with colleagues, offering exchanges of services, and even offering to do free work in the role of a mentee has greatly improved all aspects of who I am, and what I do, today.

No one learns things by themselves. No one! Information isn't created out of thin air. At some point along the line everyone has read an article, used a tool, and received advice in some form from someone else.

I'm not a good guy to get friends, I'm genuinely just a good guy I love talking with people, helping people, and forging relationships.

Nobody helps anyone anymore in adult these days. People are extremely greed. Unless you have a brother, or a very good friend who will teach you step by step and resume 5 years of work in 1 week... but 99% of people are not lucky to be in that situation.

I asked here how to build a TUBE from zero and gain traffic to monetize it, and nobody "really" helped:

https://gfy.com/showpost.php?p=19657204&postcount=52

Will you help me, Glenn?.. And I'm talking about a hosted tube from PimpRoll, Glenn.

Every single thing I learned to make money in adult, I learned it on my own, sitting 24/7/365 in front of computer and testing different things. There is no other way, unless you are fortunate enough to be part of the 1% that has someone introducing you.

There is no such thing as a magic email that will explain you step by step how to make money...

P.S: Some people think that "being nice" to someone and licking his feet and ass, will give them a special email with secrets to build a Blog Empire with a script. That's fucking bullshit. And also pathetic to have to lick someone else feet to get something in exchange. Pathetic from both part, the person trying to show off as a PRO in a forum (when he is not) and the person "being nice" (complete fakeness) expecting to get something in exchange. Truly pathetic from both parts. Just sayin...

Amen. And it *never* hurts to ask. You did the right thing, for sure, in this thread, and fuck anyone (or just quietly ignore, to give better advice than I practice) anyone who says otherwise

Haven't seen your answer when I answered to Glenn, but part of the answer is there.

Nothing personal with you or anyone else, tho... I was talking in general terms, according to what I see and experience.

I would also like to add that all the people I added to ICQ these last few years, hardly are opened to talk. It's like they are involved in their own tasks and are not able or opened to have a conversation to exchange knowledge.

BTW, you talk about networking with other adult webmasters. Where do you do that? Really wondering...

If you want to talk business and stuff, let me know. I'm pretty open and networking has helped me huge doing this.

lol, when you ask like that? I'd tell you to fuck off. When people ask like Failed did, then I give all the help I can, *if* I can.

I've also hit up many people for advice - I can't think of a single time actually when I didn't get advice when I asked for it. But then I (hopefully) didn't come across like a jackass with a sense of entitlement when I did

politeness, humility, and gratitude go a hell of a long way when dealing with people

Don't use word "nobody". There are some. May be you will find them after 100 rejections. Buy the time you will find this person you will know a lot yourself by trying - I thing it call passion But then don't forget to share your knowledge to someone with reg. date 2015 how to set up tube.

I agree a lot with Jel and Failed.. The people I network with and ask for advice and feedback from are valued people who I have talked to and worked with whether it was swapping services or being paid for many years.

I've never been afraid to put myself out there and ask for help. I've also never turned down an offer to help someone else. It's the way I believe life should work and I try my best to pass that belief on to others. Thank you!

I was going to let Glenn answer for himself, but I can tell you from the personal communications I've had with Glenn, he's always been willing to answer questions and offer advice. I would even guess that he would try to help with issues not regarding Pimproll and Hosted Tube. He's a super-motivated individual and seems very open.

I talk the ears off of people on ICQ. I've honestly had conversations that went on to eat up entire work days. It's not always about advice or sharing information, I just love to talk. That is where the majority of information is exchanged, for me personally.

There are times when people don't respond because they are busy, or just don't want to talk. I just give them a couple days and try again. Sometimes I don't ever get a reply and I know not to bother that person any longer. But, don't give up on the first try, and always be humble.

I've also had some very long email conversations. Sometimes email is a better method to communicate than ICQ because there is less pressure to respond right away. When responses are made, they are very detailed and thorough. But again, sometimes people just don't want to be bothered. I just leave them alone and move on.

My best advice to you, on this subject, would be to not let rejections of the past effect potential relationships in the future.

And of course there are also the often maligned industry shows.

I know that some people are disparaging of them....but you do get to meet people face to face and forge relationships.

Most folks are more likely to do business with people they have met and like.

So remember the next time you come to Vegas for the AVN/Internext show...we can do business over a giant bag of cocaine and some naked whores. lol

Well...we could! But we will more likely do business over a drink and a few laughs at the Casino bar.

You see man? I asked you for your ICQ and see what you answer.

I knew you were not going to help. And instead you accuse me from some things and call me names. Interesting way to help people out, JEL.

So just stop the HYPOCRESY instead and don't talk lies here, dude. Just sayin...

Now comes the part when you contact someone at random from this post and you give him some bullshit advice, and tell him to come back to this thread claiming that you helped him... just to try to PROVE your point...

Totally useless tho, because I asked you to prove your point with me, not with anyone else, and you FAILED... Yeah, "Failed" is the name of another user.

Cya, toots...

mehhh, anyways, who can JEL help out after all? Like he were someone successful in this business?... Well, he could maybe help a complete noob...

But anyway, I was just giving him the chance to prove his point, despite if he can help anyone or not.

I'm sure he has a lot to learn from others, than what he has to give. But he refused to prove his point, anyways so...

Cya.

Yeah man, talking is one thing. But passing good advice and talking business is another, very different.

People don't do that anymore, nowadays. Specially in Adult, due of the current situation of the business, people try to protect their stuff and hardly, or almost never pass info about what they do to make money.

The way you ASK won't make a difference at all. If you ask nicely, people will ignore you. -> When I started, I tried this over and over and over and the result was the same, always the same. If you ask "Directly", people will say: "Hey, why do you ask me that way? If you asked nicely I would answer, but now I don't answer"...

For example JEL... The truth is that he has a huge EGO, asking nicely won't make a difference at all. He could just prove his point contacting me, but his Massive EGO defeated him.

Cya bud.
