I heard that a lot of people use IRC chat rooms to hang out, since people cannot see your info, just nickname, so therefore less spamming on emails/icq etc.

You got any ideas?

Lots of people use IRC... I hang out in some dev channels on freenode. ##php #javascript #html5 etc

Hell, at this point I am considering dropping ICQ because no one uses it.

PBCC using it.I was there but web client which i used it's crashing so i gave up at the moment.
