How do people start dealing lets say cocaine?

Okay so you get the coke and then how do you get the customers, I mean you just cannot start putting adverts in the newspaper that you sell coke?

I guess you start small. You have a group of friends that do blow, so you buy a buncha blow at once and start distributing to them at cost or at a small profit. Then they tell their friends, and those friends tell thier friends, etc...

So basically you run it like a traditional brick and mortar business - word of mouth advertising.

Many years ago I worked with a guy who sold weed. I knew he smoked, but didn't know he was a dealer until the police arrested him at work.

As it turns out that is pretty much how he started. He would buy some and sell it to his friends at a slight price increase. His goal was basically to supply his friends and make enough to get his for free. Pretty soon it was like Amway. He was selling to his friends' friends and then their friends then he brought in another person to help him with distribution.

He got busted one when one of the guys who sold for him got arrested and decided to help the police by making buys for them from the guy I worked with.

I talked to him a couple of times after he was arrested while he was waiting for his court date. I heard he went to jail for a while, but I don't know for how long.

There are many ways to start. You can hire people to go around and hang out at after hours clubs and have them scope out people that are wasted or look like coke heads leaving the clubs and you give them your business card with a tiny sample stapled to the back. This used to happen to me a lot in NYC. You can also go into the seedy areas of town and you simply pull over and start talking to the street people. Tell them you got the hookup and you need distribution.

It comes down to how much balls do you have. It is a risky business, a guy I know got 10 years being caught with 1 kilo. There is no safe way of dealing drugs not to mention drugs destroy peoples lives.

You can triple your profit with a used car as well, if I was able to buy 10 grams for $200 and sell 10x 1 gram at $60 I'd be doing this instead, but it's not the case. But hey, whatever works for you.

ok so here in the uk lets "pretend" that coke is available at 100% purity and it will cost £25k for a kilo and will retail for £50 per gramme.

Instant 50% profit, but the average purity of coke on the street is only somewhere between 8% & 20% which leaves a whole lot of room for a massive profit margin.

I cant be bothered to do the math, but I assure you that if you do you are looking at one hell of a heap of cash lining your pockets if they are indeed large enough to hold said cash.

I think we both know you cannot get 100% pure uncut coke outside of south america, as it's a paste which vaporizes. A difficult (well, not easy) chemical process is involved to turn this paste into something sniffable. Coke with less than 50% purity is intended to smoke, you're dealing with crackheads which is a can of worms by itself. Not to mention the £ 25.000 investment you are talking about, good and trustable employees which are not easy to find, security, their salary, losses due to stealing, deals gone bad, work involved and time it takes to distribute the 1000 packages you make.

Like I said, I'd rather be dealing used cars. There's no such thing as easy money, if you have the intelligence, the $50k you need to get started like this would be better spent on starting a legitimate business.

I totally agree, but if you were to calculate the worth of my figures you would easily see that there is massive amounts of money in cocaine regardless of the complexity of the supply chain etc.

Years ago rolled with a buddy of mine selling X at nightclubs, simple pill but more in demand at downtown nightclubs at the 1-5 a.m. hour. He made crazy cash every weekend as he could sell them for $20 or $30 a piece depending on the club but usually $30 at those hours. Got pulled over for speeding one day and had (90) of them under his seat. Each pill was a count, so (90) felony counts. Actually walked on probation but cost a good penny/really good lawyer. Judge even told him not an everyday occurrence to walk away from (90) felony counts so don't fuck up on probation.

If he would have been caught with 0.09Kg of cocaine how many counts it would have been:
0.09 count because of 0.09 kg or 900 counts because of 900 miligrams? Or mayb e just 90 counts because of 90 grams?

First you need connections. Easiest way, do something to get you into jail or prison. Then you can meet the right guys. Be truthful, honest, show them you're a stand up guy. Or perhaps a friend is already in the biz.
Get Miami connections. Mexican coke is 50% when it arrives. Colombian is 90+

Get some trusty people you can wholesale ounces to. You really want to sit around trying to sell grams? That's 1000 sales. That's a lot of time. That's 1000 possible sales to a narc. More if you cut it. If you go as low as ounces you only have 35 sales to worry about. Have only a handful of customers for security. Besides the good shit sells so much easier.

Very few dealers make big money. A lot of others have big cash, but that's the float. Most of the cash they're holding they owe or need it for the next buy. The dealers that make any money usually squander it on crap rather than investing in legit investments for retirement.

When the police tell you that Dealer X was making big bucks it's all a lie. That's to sucker fools like you into coming on board. Helps keeps the wheels of the police-prison industrial state turning.
