The studies have shown that women are actually less likely to vote for another woman than a man especially if that woman is from an opposing party. Republican women sure as hell aren't going to vote for Hilary. Republicans despise the Clintons. She can't just count on the female vote. That said, she could help motivate the far left. If it is a major failure and is not working it gives the advantage to the republican who can run on the platform of eliminating it.

of course i have no numbers at hand but i think i read a study that showed the opposite at least for Germany...

but i think it also makes a difference who the opponent is - i think women more likely vote based on their personal situation (think planned parenthood etc) than global politics

Obviously, part of it is simply party affiliation and ideals, but there is a good amount of evidence that shows many women are actually more biased against female candidates than male candidates.

I actually think that was one of the things Palin did right after McCain picked her as the VP candidate that turned a lot of women off. In her first speech she basically said that since Hilary was out of the race women now had a new candidate they could vote for and it offended a lot of them.

Yep. If Obamacare is working decently there will be millions of people who will have decent health insurance that didn't have it before. When given the choice of picking a candidate that will let them keep that or a candidate that will take that away, they will choose the one that will let them keep it.

Right now things are starting badly, but with anything like this you only hear the bad news. Nationwide over a million people have already applied for health insurance and that number will grow. The people that are happy rarely speak, it is the angry ones that speak.

The proof will be in the pudding. When we reach Jan. 2015 if it isn't going well it will likely hurt the democrats as the primaries get underway. If it is going pretty good, it will hurt the republicans.

Right. I should have said over a million people have created accounts. There are a lot of states where things are going fairly well because they have their own websites. It is the main healthcare.gov site that didn't work so all the states that are just relying on that are the ones have issues.

I think once people got to know here many women disliked Palin for many different reasons. I just think she did herself no favors when her first big national speech was telling women they now have someone to vote for.
