I am looking for a wordpress theme that I can make the feature image link out to an external website.

Or a solution or add on...

This plugin can do that: https://wordpress.org/plugins/cybersyn/

1) Upload it to your site and activate it.
2) Enable the "Link to source" option.
3) In all posts you want to link to a link to an external URL, create the "cyberseo_post_link" custom field and put your link there.
