I decided to use a "google theory" to determine this.

You know, look at links that mention the subject.

In this experiment the subject is Al Sharpton.

Sharpton would be most likely leading the people who are most concerned with him.

People who post about him are clearly the most influenced by him.

So here are my results :

actually the people who control the spotlight are far narrower than just white. class, education, connections & bias prevents most all white people from controlling the spotlight too. but all you care about is color.
