Let's say I was an affiliate of 10 sites.

If I put together a sales team of women to "sell" those sites how do you think that would work?

So theoretically a guy comes to my page and there's a selection of sites he can join...but if he needs help then he can call a lady to help pick his porn. We'll get a sales pitch down perfect.

She can sell a month or 3 months, whatever deal he will get. Maybe if he purchase a 3 month subscription he will get a free phone sex call. Then I split the sign up profit with my sales person.

I realize selling paysites is all about traffic and clicks but where I really excel is in sales and getting the guy to buy. I think getting to talk to a real girl and have her tell him the options will make a lot more sales.

It's a "just born" idea, so don't be harsh. What do you think?

I like the idea of a live sexy sales rep. Might be an interesting business model to have your girls sell the big boys' sites. Why not casually recommend sites to your existing caller base and see if there's much interest? In that area you run the risk of the caller going to the porn site and then saying ohhh shit, look there you are, and your name on this site is SALLY SUCKS A LOT but as a phone sex operator you're sweet sophia. We really try not to encourage them to look at porn cause then you inevitably get called out for being fake.

Putting my best voices and sales people on a "Help you pick your porn" line they would be models from the sites I was trying to sell maybe? I can see how it would be a conflict of interest for your existing customers. It does sound like a great way to generate leads though. Like you say, most people will give up the email address over the phone. I might hesitate to call because I'd be worried about a porn site calling me or texting me.

When they call in and try to phone sex, that's like a free lead. If you can get your number on some of the larger sites you'll be set. I think selling it as a service would be more profitable than generating your own traffic and splitting rev share or whatever with the reps.

5 sales a day for an individual is pretty good. That would be at least $50k a year. You'd need a lot more volume to negotiate a better rate. In the past I was able to do that with 15-20 new sales a day. I don't know what it takes these days.

Since 420 invoked the unholy name of The Porn Nerd here I am. Unlike Beetlejuice you only have to say it once (apparently).

The issue with paysites is that the "pie" is only so big. Once you start slicing it up the ROI gets worse and worse. So if you are selling paysites for the 50% affiliate cut, depending on the site, that's around $12-$15. So what do the girls doing the actual selling get? $5 per sale maybe? That would leave you $10 "profit" (not counting any costs, tho probably minimal there) and not counting rebills.

So you would have to decide how much volume you would need to be happy with your ROI.

The way phone selling via paysites is normally done (and this is rare but it does happen) is that the model of the paysite offers phone access as part of the membership (call me on my private # etc). I don't know of any trying to sell actual Memberships to their own sites via phone sales but perhaps some do and promote that via Twitter, etc.

A service would be better. Cha-ching!! Good luck with it (and keep the REAL good ideas to yerself hehe).

5 isn't bad assuming you don't pay much for your traffic. You'd be making a living as a webmaster. Once you figure out how to get 5; 15 is within reach.

They can probably get more interaction from cams. But, I have seen help desk / talk to live person on mainstream sites. Maybe your girls could take phone payments as well as giving advice and handling cancellations.

I think he's quoting you rev-share payments (you get 1/2 of membership cost monthly until customer cancels). And you are talking about pay per sale payments (You get $30 one time no matter how much the customer spends).

I think makeabuck runs phonesex lines where guys think they're talking to models. Even if only .1% call it could generate a few extra sales per day. I just don't know if anyone will see that as a reward vs the risk of losing potential customers to phone sex operators. Maybe if she pitches it to the right person.

I think we work in the same field (selling sex) but in far different ways. I'm used to closing the sale, making the guy comfortable with spending his money, making him feel comfortable about his fetish, and making sure he comes back, but still being professional and to the point, not letting them jack off without the credit card.

I don't think I could do it as a service at first because I'd have to really figure out the sales strategies and then roll up my sleeves and do it myself with a select few girls on solely commission basis. The main challenges are going to be traffic. Quantity and quality. Only a small % of people are going to want to talk to someone, or would actually benefit from talking to someone.

If you have this skill set then talk one of the porn site owners and work a deal. No one is going to turn down free cash.

I ran a customer service center and the minutes add up fast. 3 minute calls with a 10% closure rate means you are making a $1/minute. Phone sex does better. I also think a 10% closure rate is optimistic. The great news is no one knows so you might have hit on the million dollar idea of the month.
