I have no opinions about pay sites, but I do have opinions about men and how to sell to them via live sales, since that's what I do. That's all.

its a great idea...speaking as a studio boss I know how some guys react to live women on cam and I would hire a cam girl to handle your pre-sales inquiries from customers...the down side is you will get lots of time wasters as well but a live sales lady in a skinny bikini will outsell any landing page IMO

Perhaps partnering with a paysite and doing cross-linking would be a good start, especially for someone who handles their own Customer Service (as opposed to a CCBill or Epoch situation etc).

It's not a bad idea but you would have to work out the ROI since there are so many factors. This is why a service was suggested, because then you could "work" many different paysites and affiliate programs. Kind of like how review sites work.

(Actually, how about using some of your girls for 'live reviews'? Now THERE'S an idea!!! Great mainstream marketing potential, too. Do a half-hour video for YouTube where you show the girl in bikinis etc looking at a blurred-out monitor and describing what they see and how great that site is. With some tweaking it could rock.)

I supposed at this point that its futile to point out that back in the day, this was tried time and time again. If you can't sell the content with the site,... you aren't going to get the user to freeze in his tracks, pick up his phone and call someone to talk about porn. No matter how you look at it, sales is about guiding someones thought process from the moment the home page opens, through to the join page, when you interrupt that process, you fail and it doesn't matter why or how you interrupt it. If you can't sell with the content, the site, the text/design/flow... then you aren't going to sell it by requiring the user to take additional steps.

Again... argue all you want... its been done many times in adult and no one has done it successfully.

Another option is to open a paysite yourself. Get some content (buy it) then edit it in a clever way. Call it 'Phone Sex Fantasies" or something and have your operators do voice-overs for the videos. Again, also something you could do via YouTube etc.

The only real limitation in anything is your own creativity.

For me I'd go niche for the most part. I think they are an easier sell if it's real specific to what the guy wants and of course easier to optimize than something broad like hot teens.
