My grandfather was super upset about MLK Day. Not because of all the great fiscal reasons and how adding one more national holiday impacts the economy.. it was because he was a bit racist.

actually I grew up poor in North Texas... we didn't have an indoor bathroom.... now I live in a gated estate in the hills on 6 acres, 5 bedrooms and baths, 2 living rooms etc... pool, tennis court... I would have done better for myself but whitey has been keeping me down
