Here's an interesting story that got sidelined quite quickly. Jim Clifton, the CEO of Gallup, basically says the White House is lieing about the job numbers on purpose ie to create a feel good factor they hope will bolster the economy. Interestingly, the URL has changed since (omitting the words big lie, presumably to hurt SEO potential):

Later Jim Clifton, comes back and "completely retracts his statement" saying on CNBC he thinks the figures are very, very accurate and that: “I need to make that very, very clear so that I don’t suddenly disappear. I need to make it home tonight.”

How many banks are there in the US, and you mean to tell me only 36 of them closed in 2014? How many hundreds of thousoands of Americans work in the banking industry and.... Nine people died and that raises red flags?

Oops sorry, that should have read: "36 bankers dead in 2014".

Actually the circumstances surrounding these banker deaths in 2015, when taken in the context of what happened last year, are intriguing and have been called to attention by the media. I'm not making any assertion here, I just found it intriguing what I read so im sharing it.

You already posted previously that you believe that we're in a jobs recovery in the US so the above obviously goes against your thesis. However, there are plenty here and elsewhere who agree that we are definitely not in a jobs recovery.

I just, for sure, do not take for granted "as true" everything that I am fed by my government or the media....

I believe that most of the government numbers are cooked. I read something that basically they count unemployment numbers by the amount of people collecting unemployment and looking for a job. But if they run out of unemployment or stop looking for a job, they are no longer counted, even though they are unemployed.

Either way, it is different depending on where you live. Some cities are doing great, others not so much...

I remember when Clinton included military personnel to lower the rate. Now they just don't count them after they fall off unemployment insurance

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
