Russian education IS better and he is not from Russia. The WWII started in 1939, but "Великая Отечественная Война" started in 1941 (it's just a part of WWII which involved Soviet Union and which lead to total destruction of the German army). This is what every Russian kid learns in the school.

NYC is not a real America. AFAIK about 70% of NYC citizens were born outside the USA. Wanna look how regular US people live like? Go to the central states. I've traveled there a lot and I know how people from Alabama or Missouri are different to NYC or even LA residents (in fact, LA is very different to NYC as well)

I don't think these Hollywood "Rambo"- movies are the best example about Europe.

In my eyes American view about patriotism and bravery is a one big joke. It is a fucking absurd. Especially that movie is very absurd; some shallow bravery shit mixed with some idiotic jumping and special effects.

Although there are good American movies about Vietnam. As USA somewhat lost the war, at least in the terms of outcome; the movies about it are toned down patriotism and bravery wise, being more realistic and pleasant to watch.
