Healthcare is anything but fine. Why have so many doctors offices gone out of business? Why are people not getting the proper care and testing they should be getting? They put way to much power in the hands of the insurance companies.

Military is nothing like it used to be. Years ago, anyone healthy could join and make a nice career for themselves. Things are not same. Even many people in the military are on food stamps now.

The fact that people are even talking about it is good. If the USA takes out the data from inner city schools, we are the top or near the top in almost all testing. We have an issue. What to do about it is the question.

Yes more people have insurance (They have to). but that's just looking at the bright side. many things are worse on the inside. Go talk to any Doctor who owns their own business and ask how they are doing compared to 5 years ago. Ask what changes were made, none were for the better aside from more people having healthcare and not be denied for pre-existing problems. I think Obama has done well but frankly it couldn't have gotten much worse so things could have only gotten better. Hell, we could have had Bidden in office and done just as well.

But you cannot properly judge a sitting president because we are too focused on current events, and the negative things the other side is saying. A good example of this is President Truman who had a 22% approval rating, yet is now considered one of the top presidents of all time.

If you are in your late teens or early twenties and join the US military you are all set. You get free housing, healthcare, food, even clothing and lots of other perks - and a paycheck too!

However, if you are in your late teens and early twenties, married, and have two kids.... Well, you are going to be on food stamps no matter what.

Are things better? Well, six years ago when Obama took office exactly half of the twenty houses on my street were empty - people couldn't afford their houses, and were either evicted or left because they couldn't afford it. Everyone I know here locally were walking around in a daze looking for work. All new construction came to a complete halt. Two different condo complexes being built were stopped half way through when the companies went under. It was bad.

Now every house is full and they are building new ones. The two condo complexes are completed. Unemployment is down to 5.6, and we added a million new jobs in the past three months. I went to the movies this weekend and it was packed.

No matter what side of the aisle you are on, things are obviously better. Anyone who argues otherwise is just blatantly wrong. Obama isn't out savior; He just didn't fuck things up any more than they were.

The size of our military has been declining nearly every year since 1970. We had 3,064,000 in 1970 and 1,468,000 now (well 2011 really). That's been nearly cut in half.

Keep in mind that during Iraq and Afghanistan our military didn't grow much and remained at the 1.5 million mark.
