I'm semi surprised by the lack of response here.

Here are two reasons why the industry has suffered in recent years.

1. There is no sharing of information. Everything is top secret and never let anybody know because god forbid someone does it better than you.

2. Most people prefer to continue doing the same thing over and over regardless of results usually because they think they are doing it the right way. One of the keys to our success was always thinking of new things to try and listening to feedback.

Ok so Roald you are officially a bastard. The only guy to post a link asking for feedback and I'm at a little bit of a loss on what to write

Here is what i've come up with.

- What is Tainster? I don?t know what the brand is, means or stands for. So as a result I?m far less likely to remember it. The tagline Tainster ?Experience Porn? still tells me nothing.

- The tour is massive. It hits from every direction. Nothing on the main page stands out as a problem. Looks good. I love that your rotating massive header has girls smiling. That was a huge part of our designs and sales as well. Happy girls = Happy Customers for us

- That said the tour really overwhelmed me. Maybe because I was looking to critique it or maybe because it's too much. If I close my eyes and try to remember details from your tour i remember the party girls smiling and nothing else. I don't remember any niches, any specifics. If this were my site my worry would be that it is too overwhelming for the surfer and that maybe a simpler landing pages that really push the key selling points would work better (I would test both). You have the depth with your tabs (updates, models, sites) so that content is there for someone who may want it. But your landing page may be too much. Right now I sense you are relying on the surfer to find the content they want and allow them to convert themselves. I think if they are that type of person they will find it regardless. It's the other surfers you may lose who land on your page, have no idea where to go and leave. Nothing in the first frame or two scream i have to join now or pull at any particular cord to get me to join.

The idea with this tour was to make the content work in a really strong way.

I agree that it might indeed be a bit too overwhelming for some people however sofar results are ridiculously good 1:178 on affiliate traffic this month (launched the 29th last month).

However the other people who don't join might be something we can work with here. Let me work on that simplified lander and see what works better allthough I think it will be tough to beat that ratio.

Your issue is that your original post included a very bad word, "actionable." haha I understand (and even applaud) your desire to give back to the industry but if I were you I?d save your talents for something outside of this industry because at the end of the day people here just don?t have real focus, or drive. If you want to get involved in something, direct your energies on creating a B2B SaaS product/service in mainstream that adds value, solve a problem, and improves business functions for companies. B2C, especially in porn, is too fickle. Hardly anyone in the adult space wants to improve things, and really, most iterations and tweaks are just minor.

Where did you get your feedback from and who's was most valuable?

How did you know who's to listen to?

I ask because the decision to totally scrap your existing way of doing things for a 'newer' way is risky. There is a large investment of time/energy required and you may lose what you already have.

Smaller, more frequent changes or slower gradual ones are easier to implement.

This one is easy. Again this is just my opinion.

You can not start a tube and make it look like everyone else's tube and think you will succeed. In the 4 years since I sold how many tubes have come along and become big? A handful? Most have struggled. One reason is far too many are getting a script, going live without any modifications and hoping for the best. It's like anything you have to do something to stand out.

My actionable advice
Start with your favourite tubes. What are they? what do you like about them? How have they done in the past 4 years? You have to make your tube visually exciting. You have to have the layout and content that entices surfers to bookmark/remember your site.

Find a way to differentiate yourself but make sure whatever that is works. It's key that what differentiates you is your competitive advantage not weakness.

That is where you have to start. Right now you have a cookie cutter layout. Nothing really to comment on as it's the same as everyone elses. Make it unique come up with something and then I can comment more

No serious investor will do that. They laugh at those idea guys who think their idea (JUST idea) is worth million dollars.
Most of them get pitched lots of ideas daily and they will not bother with signing some NDA just to hear one more idea.

It's funny because my natural reaction would be NDA and protect the idea. But times have changed and getting someone of value to agree to an nda is not going to happen.

It has taken me a while to get used to that notion. I believe now that the new reality is a world where you share ideas without any protection you have to do a few things.
1. You have to be fast. If you have an idea that you are telling people about you have to be able to start working on it before anyone can beat you to the punch.
2. You have to be better. Once you launch your competition will be all over you. You may as well take the approach that you are already competing and make sure what you are working on is better than what your competition may be up to.
3. You have to be creative in your pitch. You have to soft sell your idea to gauge interest. If their isn't interest from the investor then I wouldn't give him all the details. Hold back a few key points that make your idea better than anything else on the market.
4. There are other people working on the exact same idea at this moment. You are already competing you just don't know it. Instead of fearing that a potential investor will rip off your idea you should use them to get feedback and help you develop and direct the idea.

A friend of mine told me he could never sign an NDA anyhow because the number of companies he works for just signing one NDA would cripple his ability to do what he does (invest, advise, and run businesses). No investor worth a dime would sign an NDA.

Ok again these are personal thoughts. Be sure to test or disregard. Just my first thoughts when viewing the site.

The color isn't my favorite (yellow/greenish part). Not sure if that would help or hinder sales. If I were you i'd test that. Color is a personal preference but you want to find the color that makes your girls look best.

I think thumbnail selection needs some work. The thumbs that are up now are ok but not stand out. I think you could seriously up the quality of the thumbs and the thumb shot and see a good improvement in results.

I would try varying your thumb size and thumbs per row. Maybe bigger thumbs and 4 per row vs what you have now. Could help could hurt. Worth trying.

Your most popular video is rated 3 stars. I wouldn't join a site where the most popular video is 3 stars. I recommend pulling the stars from your tour as it doesn't help.

I would push the african theme harder. Maybe african flag, a map of africa. Make up some bullshit about what tribe these girls are from and show it on the map. If you really want to push african lesbians that would push that angle more and I imagine that would help your sales.

I'd be careful showing comments on a tour. If there are few comments it hurts your sales pitch. If you had 10+ comments per video it would help. But having little to no comments hurts.

I think those are some good starting points for you.

It depends what your goal is. So let's go way way back to one of my early free sites. I started a big boob tgp. I was still in university and pam anderson was the biggest sex star alive. i thought hmm let me start a big boob tgp and load it up with pam anderson type girls. Fit girls with big fake tits. Traffic was flat. No growth. No emails. Nothing. Then I listed a Lindsey Dawn Mckenzie gallery and a Dazie Kellog gallery. Two natural girls. My sales, traffic and email feedback went through the roof. The feedback was clear. NATURAL was the way to go. It wasn't what I wanted but it was the path that would yield the best results and it did.

Never scrap something because of what one person says. Scrap based on data and your intuition. One thing I learned a long time ago is that a good design or layout does well from day 1. It doesn't take 100 days to finally start working. So if you switch a design and test it for 7 days you should have the data to know if users are engaging more with it, returning to it, consuming it etc.

Here is a great video for you. The art of knowing what data to listen to and what feedback to listen to is key. It's the art that differentiates the best from the rest.
