Ronaldo really missed the boat by not checking in here with the experts first.

Funny but not really... just because someone kicks a ball well doesn't make him an expert real estate investor, case in point - all of the celebrities and athletes that go bust within a few years of retirement, something like 78% for NFL and 58% for NBA.

But hey, you're here making smart ass comments, carry on.

investing in luxury real estate with a view and across the street from central park is a very smart place to put money. that's the most expensive (desirable) real estate on the planet.

People living on top of each other like chicken coups, but oh hey, they can proudly declare 'I live in new york' like anyone gives a fuck. Okay so there are plenty of nice restaurants and museums and 'culture'... whatever, just go visit then. If you're not working on Wall Street or somewhere in NY that requires you to be there, why the fuck would you live there?

Now on to the real estate... that condo there is one tiny ugly shithole, and 18.5 million USD? GTFO. It's 230 square meters for heaven's sake... Any idea what kind of palatial mansion someone can buy in Miami or even Southern California which are HIGHLY desireable places to live, and we're talking 10 months or more of sunshine, not overcrowded (for certain parts), close to the beach and reasonable cost of living. We're talking circular driveway, fountains, high ceilings, view of the water, minimum 1000 square meters of house. That bedroom picture is taken at an angle to make it look more spacious then it is, that looks like a fuckin closet. 18.5 million dollars, and I'm not knocking Ronaldo since that whole city is full of overpriced, tiny little shitholes I wouldn't spend a week in.

I guess it's all relative.
I don't get it either.

I don't see why anyone would want to live in NYC. I guess people who work there either have to live in the city or face a commute and live outside in the city where it's still expensive and just unpleasant (seems NJ is popular for city workers to live in). Where I grew up in rural NJ we had a lot of people who commuted into the city; It was really nice where I grew up but it was a minimum of a two hour drive to get into the city. I don't think the trade off would be worth it - four hours commuting each day so you can live out in "the country"? You never get to enjoy it.

Then again, I can't stand Southern California either. Traffic, smog, crime, the high cost of living. I live in Sacramento - Weather is similar (95 F today!), none of the traffic, crime, smog, high cost of living, and I have Tahoe an hour away and San Francisco an hour and a half away.

This just in...hot off the press...people are different and have different tastes. There are people who live in Miami and love it. I would hate living there because of the heat and humidity. There are people who live in Alaska and love it, but there are plenty of people who would hate to live there because of the cold and isolation. There are some people who enjoy living in a big city. Its not for everyone and that's fine, but some people love it and can't imagine living anywhere else.

As for the real estate prices...there is only so much room in Manhattan. This make competition for real estate intense and that drives up the price. If Ronaldo didn't pay $18.5 million for this place, the odds are they would have found someone else that would have.

it's 82 in la today.

you are more likely to die on shitty sac rural roads than on urban la roads

sac crime is worse than la crime

sac is the 5th smoggiest city in USA

the cost of living in sac is significantly higher than average

and the most important- it's sac

I wonder how many super hot women Ronaldo has banged while we have been criticizing his taste in windrow dressings?

I'm sorry, I confused this thread about the sexual exploits and promiscuity of an athlete with a debate on NY real estate prices, my mistake.

Said countless times already...decor is horrible and reminds me of an expensive hotel room.

Brilliant view however.

Heard of Columbus circle and central park west before? Pretty fucking prime.

If you are mincing words about the downtown reference and it being more uptown or mid town then that's just dumberer
