You guys come off as such whiners sometimes. She is popular, of course its going to be over hyped, of course her work is going to be overated, that doesn't take anything away from her though. She is still both a good singer and song writer--and i'm not even a fan at all.

Nah I get it, there is other musicians I feel the same way about and even some Adele songs I feel that way about too. Not because of her voice tho but mainly due to the lyrics or speed of the song.

Just to give some perspective on Adele's success. She has sold in the area of 40 million albums, which is a shitload. However, Britney Spears has sold around 70 million, Taylor Swift about 140 million, Whitney Houston around 110 million. Rihanna about 175 million, Mariah Carey about 130 million and Madonna about 170 million. So she has a ways to go to be the most successful female act ever.
