Maybe this mail from CB is the reason that the stats are messed up again the last 1-2 weeks?

A while ago when they also changed it (and back) because it was not working well the stats where also messed up:

Cookies and Replacing Unique Hits with Engaged Hits
We’re updating how we credit referrals with Affiliate links by moving from impression-based to click-based cookie placement. Previously, cookies were set when an ad was served (viewed). Going forward, cookies will only be set when a user actively clicks on an Affiliate link. This change aligns with industry standards and ensures that only genuine user interactions are captured, and helps prevent cookie stuffing.

We expect this to be favorable for Affiliates as it prevents “cookie stuffing” and better ensures credit is given for referring engaged traffic.

As a result of this change, “Engaged Hits” will be the primary metric used to evaluate Affiliate link performance and we will be deprecating “Unique Hits” from both the Affiliate stats page and any reports that you generate once the update is live.

Updating Tracking Parameters and Sid Tags
This is a reminder that we are limiting the use of “track” values to 10,000 per Affiliate and campaign. You may have seen our notices via previous emails or on the Affiliate Stats page on Chaturbate. We recommend using the "sid" parameter if you wish to send session IDs or other unique identifiers to better track individual clicks on Affiliate links.

You can expect a full roll out within a week. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our Support Team. You may also send an email directly to [email protected].

Completely ridiculous...

In cb-stats my big spenders are still spending just spending less. Have no idea what's going on. If it's a cookies issue they wouldn't be spending at all.

Some years ago i reached a peak: 6-8k for month, now i'm lucky reaching $800 / month..

What are you guys actually expecting at the moment?

I have stats.

Hits and sales. No registrations but that is not unusual for me these days.

I looked at the transactions and my last sale was a little over 2 hours ago and that is not unusual either.

My sales look pretty normal. They are not high right now but I tend to get most of mine after midnight here and it is about 11pm now.

So, things look to be working here.

I'm doing testing, March I sent all my popunder traffic to CB, and April been sending to StripCash. Will post the results at the end of the month.

Why not a 50/50 split for the two months for a more accurate comparison?

You are correct, but I am unable to split the popunders 50/50 between the two different URL links with my script. I guess I could do it manually every 24 hours.

Just ask one of the ai's like chat gpt to make you a script to randomly pick between X urls on load. Then pop that url.

You may not be able to do a fully reliable comparison because from what I remember their cookie policy is different, cb is first cookie wins. To be confirmed.

Edit: Okay, so I tested it further. I used a VPN and an anonymous browser, visited my site, clicked a link and went to Chaturbate through that link. Cookie was placed, of course, but it was counted as raw hit, not as an engaged hit. My raw hits are like 100x Engaged hits. And these are all new visitors clicking on my affiliate links, no ads or iframes or anything. Makes no sense whatsoever.

Engaged Hits are 98% dropped yesterday and apparently it continues.

Payout significantly dropped since "In compliance with GDPR regulations..." notification in stats.

Engaged hits were 1% of the total day one, now they are 7-8% but signups seem normal...not sure what the hell is going on but I hope they are fiddling with the numbas

No registrations or sales counted. All zeroes again here.

The stats are looking horrible... is this the end of Chaturbate affiliate?
I spoke with chaturbate support and they said engaged hits only count when a user interacts with a iframe, etc
If they just come to a page and do nothing, it doesn't count and the cookie is not set

Is it possible people are spending left because the US economy is worse than we thought ?
