The moral of the story is don't go to Joe Shit for your phone repair, family has 3 Iphones, a hand full of I pods, 3-4 IPads, 2 Apply Watches and a Mac Book pro. Most of it is covered by Applecare, daughter dropped her phone and shattered the glass, here is a new phone, Old mac book air developed a keyboard issue, here is a a new one.

I bought them, don't fuck with them, and they work, no problems

The Mac was released in 1994 and still going strong 30 years later.
The iPhone was released in 2007 and still going strong 9 years later.

A Pop culture fad? Really? Of course things can change any time but dismissing Apple as a fad is lazy and makes no sense.

Seriously? The new iPhones you can buy now have 3D Touch, Live (moving) photos, Retina HD Displays, Taptic Engines (The screen taps you back). The new 64 Bit processor is almost twice as fast as previous models, as are the new GPU's, Touch ID, etc. iPhone 6s - Technology - Apple (CA) The new iPhones coming out soon as supposed to have long-range wireless charging technology - no more cable to connect to charge it. Cool isn't it?

It also seamlessly connects to all of my other devices to share files and media. And oh right, the battery lasts forever too. How can you say they don't provide good value?

Who is the conformist here? I've tested all kinds of products and have both PC's and Mac's, and I'm saying that Apple gives the best value, so until something better comes along I will probably buy more Apple products.

Apple usually doesn't announce new products or major updates until they are fairly close to being released, but I'm sure you knew that already.

In the past 2 years Apple released the Apple Watch, a brand new iMac, a brand new Mac, Apple TV, a brand new music streaming service for iTunes, and 2 brand new iPhones.

As for the new iPhone, all you need to do is ask the Googletron 5000

Joshua, sorry dude but you are way off. Since 2007 when I bought my first Mac, there has been 6 major updates to their operating system. The total amount I have paid for those updates has been $20.00. Not $20 each, $20 total.

Windows on the other hand saw Windows Vista (About $250), Windows 7 (about $250), Windows 8 (about $250?). Only Windows 10 was free.

All updates to the iPhone iOS has been free.

I have not paid once for any technical support even though my warranties have expired.

What Voids Your Vehicle's Warranty? -- Edmunds.com

Quote:
if the reason for a parts failure is unclear, a dealer will usually charge you to diagnose the vehicle. If the aftermarket part was not properly installed or a modification led to a component failure, it is within the dealer's right to void the warranty for that part, and you will have to pay for the repairs out of pocket.

Damage to vehicle components resulting from the installation or use of non-GM certified parts is not covered by the vehicle warranty and may affect remaining warranty coverage for affected parts.
Similar Warranty Terms and Conditions can be found for other makes of cars too.

wrong again. none of this backs up your incorrect claim that 3rd party repair voids the warranty.

i'm too busy to search the legislation - just believe me when I say that at least in Europe 3rd party service does not void warranty - even though car manufacturers fought for it.

they even must give all internal information regarding recalls etc to 3rd party service on demand

It's ok, I believe you and I've heard about it too. My point still stands though. If a mechanic breaks your car that is still under warranty, your car or that part at least may lose its warranty.

no need for name calling, dumbfuckwad.

again, dipshit, that doesn't void the warranty.

it's simply not covered under the fucking warranty but you're too fucking stupid to figure that out. try and use your 1 fucking brain cell to figure out that if work was done wrong and/or used a non-official part, neither the work, the non-standard part or the consequences are covered under the fucking warranty. for the fucking stupid- that's not voiding the fucking warranty, you fucking nitwit. you really think that a manufacturer can dictate they are the only ones allowed to work on YOUR car? you really are as fucking stupid as you think i think you are.

dumbfuckwad nitwit::

5 Dumb Things That Can Void Your Car Warranty

Keep all receipts on any maintenance work done at facilities other than the dealership while your car is under warranty. Some people do not return to the dealer for service after buying a new vehicle. They have their vehicles serviced at quick lubes, their local repair facility, and/or anywhere they can find a deal. It's okay, as long as the service provider uses the specified fluids and OEM (original equipment) quality filters.

So what's the problem? A lot of folks don't keep records and receipts. They have no documentation proving that the services were done according to mileage intervals as specified by the carmaker. When it comes time to file a warranty claim, the carmakers will ask for proof that the services were done. No receipts? No warranty coverage. This is one benefit of going to a dealer for regular maintenance while under warranty; the carmaker requires that they keep meticulous records. When and if a warranty claim becomes necessary, the dealership simply transfers all vehicle records electronically to the proper people for processing.
