This is the consequence of making people poorer.
Quote:
The Republicans hold the dream of aspiring to be better. Which is rarely matched by their policies. Unless you're earning 6 figures. The Democrats are the alternative and the choice of those not so well off. As that group grows, the Democrats votes grow. It's the consequences of making people poorer. Same will rant about things being free. About how they strived to get ahead. Then rant about basics having their funding reduced. Or them having to pay more in taxes. Or more for an iPad made in the US. The downside is when the Socialists forget who their core supporters are and swing so far left, they lose voters. Which is what's happening in some European countries. Will be interesting to see how many these percentages relate to in actual numbers and the numbers who will vote for a Republican. |

Maybe you weren't paying attention when this was explained in another thread.

Those without will always be attracted to those who promise much in exchange for a pencil mark.
Gangsters have been earning loyalty in their communities for centuries by providing them with food, security, clothing, and other essentials. In ancient Roman times they had the Coliseum to distract the poor with a sparkling toy.

What does "making people poorer". Even mean?
That again is the entire problem. This is the USA you're talking about. The standard of living is insanely high. People should go spend time in REAL poor countries. Where lack of political/infastructure/business systems exist making it REALLY hard to succeed. They would be kissing the soil America was laid on. This "making people poor" in the USA is a joke. Making people have a poor MENTALITY is the problem. |

@paul: search 'super delegates'
super delegates - Google Search The USA is not a parliamentary system so there is no head of the party's ticket who becomes PM that is selected by the party. The primaries are not a ''real'' election. They are a party nominating ''selection''. The parties can make their own rules more or less. This sort of explains it Quote:
Our primaries in the USA are popularity contests designed to give the party supporters some voice in the selection process and not a real binding election. |
