If someone says they want 18k for a domain. What do you think their rock bottom is?

do a reverse whois and see what other domain names he has, based on this you will see the quality of his portfolio and you will get a better picture of how motivated he is to sell...

Why is that name worth than much?
Branding value for a site idea or speculative traffic value to you? Probably you wont get both. You could have to spend $250K to establish a brand's top of mind recognition -- unless, you also have some great speculative viral action in mind. How much can you afford to lose? That's your price ... You are not buying an asset or a P&L statement |
