Brexit Polls Show "UK Leaving The EU"

Brexit Camp Is Ahead in Fifth U.K. Opinion Poll in 24 Hours - Bloomberg

Latest polls show a high chance of the UK leaving the EU.

This is ALL about immigration. I've just returned from the UK and I'm surprised about how much it has changed in just a few years. Immigration has been fantastic for the UK and enriching but it's now an overdone Turkey which has resulted in endless and pointless discussions on the subject of excess immigration for the last 15 years. Since the government never listened to the people on Iraq, I can't help but feel that everyone SHOULD vote to leave as a protest vote if not on actual merit of the argument that the UK will be just fine and even thrive outside the EU.

Any way, the UK needs to trade more with Asia and the Middle East rather than bankrupt and declining Europe. Numerous business people including James Dyson (one of the UK's most successful entrepreneurs) recently came out in support of a Brexit:

https://www.theguardian.com/business...-eu-referendum

Post in this thread LEAVE or REMAIN to show your position.

After 20 years of uncontrolled migration, the UK is in trouble. There aren't enough affordable houses.

It will cost £200,000 per unit to build a decent home to fill the massive shortfall. They need to build 1 million to start catching up and 100,000 per year to fill the growing demand.

This will be for people who can't afford to buy, so it will have to be the taxpayer or more debt.

Do the maths.

So I'm for LEAVE. There have to be strict controls on migration. So those who earn enough to be self-supporting, will bring wealth in, provide a needed skill can come. But here's the two sides of the debate I heard last time I was in the UK.

I went to attend a family wedding. My family are all middle class now, earn their own homes, have very well paying jobs, well most of them. Their argument was who will do the jobs the brits won't? Like pick fruit, build houses, pick up the rubbish, home help. As if before we had millions of migrants these jobs were never done.

Sunday we visited Camden Market. It was a rarity to walk into a shop and find a Brit serving, went to the pub served by a Polish girl, to a Restaurant, served by a Lithuanian, got a taxi, driven by an Asian, and phoned Eva's brother to see if he had time to come over. He was driving a van and had to go home where his unemployed Polish GF was looking after their kid.

They all count as contributing because they have a job.

The Remain Camp try to convince people the UK will throw out people like me, doctors, nurses, etc.

Iv wanted out of the EU for years and hope it happens next week. Something tells me this Juncker prick from the EU is gonna step in and offer something to do with immigration that will sway voters though. This is a multi billion pound gravy train they are all riding and they will do anything to keep our billions

i was wondering why the polls were constantly in favor of staying, i could not understand it. I like the way the polls are going now, seems that people are finally waking up.

There are only Vote Leave posters up around here, there will be huge celebrations if we get out, but I don't imagine the powers behind the EU would allow it, voting will be rigged or something, let's see

I'm sure the Remain camp will try and pull something before 23rd June, some new deal or something. But I've a feeling most people won't listen, as the politicians have already discredited themselves. Cameron is toast whichever way it goes, as is Osbourne with his "revenge budget" threat which has already been shot down.

It's a good point except that you misunderstood. The LEAVE camp are not saying they will close borders, they will simply reduce the numbers to the figures that were supposed to be in place many years ago ie under 50k per annum influx.

And anyway, many jobs already go out because the UK has a minimum wage. That's something I totally disagree with for the reason you point out.

Well here's how I see it:

(1) The US are absolutely desperate for the UK to REMAIN in EU as it gives them leverage against Putin not to mention input into the running of Europe.

(2) The establishment ie UK government, monarchy and almost all of UK politicians back REMAIN including Corbyn, Cameron, Major, Brown, Blair and every US president you care to mention due to (1). Hence you're seeing banking insiders like Jamie Dimon etc coming and warning against leaving EU.

(3) The entire EU backs REMAIN because if the UK leaves, it's an serious existential threat.

(4) The level of sheer desperation is such that supports your idea ie it will be rigged one way or another.

There's such powerful and corrupt people behind the EU, they don't believe in democracy, so it's hard to see them letting us out. They are spinning any lie possible to keep us in

All those things added, it is funny how he is pro Hilary.

It's already been tried. The cut off date for registering to vote was extended by 48 hours to give people a chance to register, because the government website crashed in the final two hours before the official deadline. So, two hours lost - so they increase the deadline by two days! And who does this benefit? Generally younger people most likely not to have bothered to register until now, and most likely to vote to remain.

Ok, I was mislead by someone in some other thread, he claimed something like non citizen residents (and he certainly did not mean malta or cyprus people by that) were allowed to vote...

So i guess this is good..

ps: Ireland citizens are allowed to vote? Irish are a separate country...

That's what has to stop. Countries like China have to be told to buy as much as they sell or their goods will be taxed. We've been told "Free Trade" is good for decades. So where are the jobs to replace the ones we lost?

Flippin Burgers and saying, "would you like that in a plastic bag for a penny".

The Remain Camp don't have the ability to talk in a way the general public understand. While most are paying higher rents and getting lower wages. They tell people the economy is doing great.

The UK has a Commonwealth immigration problem that Brexit will not cure

The UK is in the EU half-assed anyway.

But the UK should remember that Europe's problems reach the UK shores -- history has proven that.

Absolutely not. I base migration on ability, not race.

Unless you tie ability and race together like Trump does. which makes you and him a racist.

Non-EU migration proves Tories and Labour have no intention of slowing down migration. They simply don't see the problem of most people becoming poorer and even think the number of people paying taxes is more important than how much money people have to pay taxes.

The UK leaving triggers other countries to demand their referendum, and they to will vote out.

There's no reason to have a beneficial trade deal with other countries. The rest is just a politicians wet dream.

A guy on BBC radio 2 decided to get into his studio one person from every EU country but living in the UK to hear their views on the referendum. He asked them all who could and couldn't vote. the only one who said that he wasn't allowed to vote was a guy from Holland, somehow every other non-uk national in that room had a vote! I know they are on paper not meant to but they have.

Don't forget that its so easy for the US to deal with one union rather than seperate countries. They will hate Brexit.

So will the Globalist agenda that just needed to merger another big union with the EU and then have a step towards one world government.

No offense to you but yeah, lets keep handing our democracy that British people fought and died for to other countries because America might not like Brexit. To all the guys from the USA, how would you feel if Obama announced yous were making a pact with all the close countries to yous, even the Southern America countries like Argentina. This pact is going to cost 10 billion every year of your tax money. Brazil will be in charge of your immigration laws and they decide who comes to your country from all the countries in the pact, not yous. Yous will be banned from fishing from around 80% of your sea as this goes to the other countries in the pact so they can get the fish and sell it to yous. A huge amount of American jobs have to also be advertised in all countries of the pact. Plus there is a country with over 75 million muslims waiting to join. Americas government deny they are joining. Then you find out through leaked papers that they have already been talks for it to happen. Also, you find your government has gave them over a billion dollars to help them join. How long before Obama would be thrown out of office and yous riot?. Seriously. You guys would never stand for that but sadly, there are a lot of spineLess folk in the UK

its smart to bring people into a country as long as you are prepared to house them. if done so correctly, the economy can boom. if not done properly the economy can take a major bash.

Economy is not the priority over own identity and own people.
And it is not like you would starve if you do not bring invaders and do not "boom".
Japan do not allow invaders, ok they slowed down ecconomically, so what? It is not like they are in poverty, no, they enjoy rich life + no invaders.

The EU is changing all the time. Its power grows and will continue until it crashes or rules from the center.

I agree. Most Brits only want to leave the EU because the public doesn't want to pay a few million every month to the EU for countries needing more such as Brussels, NHS.

If they realized the amount of money spent on Job seekers or warfare.

If Britain leaves the EU, it'll become a small governed prison, with no porn, everyone watched over, phones & messages traced. No one will be free

And you think its not already all that?

Big government is a huge drag on economies - it just grows bureaucracy, stifles the free market. Some most successful economies tend to be smaller in size anyway, such as Switzerland, Norway (neither of which are part of the EU), Hong Kong, Singapore and so on. If the UK leaves the EU, it has a great chance to evolve its economy into something really awesome. Leaving would be the best thing the UK has ever done - 2 or 3 years of disruption but then plain sailing.

Stay in the EU? Hands are tied.

We US Americans had one civil war -- European and British history is of wars for over 1000 years -- good luck getting along

Europeans are very nationalistic as compared to how we feel loyalty toward the state we live in. The EU is not a nation the USA is a nation sharing a common language and culture with regional differences. In the beginning of the USA the states had some minor border wars but not wars of culture or ideology with the exception of the civil war or the war between the states as we call it.
