Trump Fired His Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski Today With No Announced Replacenent

A Trump senior campaign aide confirmed to Fox News Monday morning that Lewandowski is no longer with the campaign.

It's unclear what specifically led to the shake-up. The high-profile departure of one of Trump's most senior and loyal advisers follows what was widely seen as a rough patch for the campaign.

Trump's polling numbers against presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton have slipped in recent weeks, and Trump has found himself caught up in several controversies over his own comments.

Lewandowski has been by Trump's side since the beginning of his unlikely rise to presumptive GOP nominee.

The move comes as Trump faces continued deep resistance from many quarters of his party concerned by his contentious statements.

Something odd going down. Technically the campaign chairman Paul Manafort in next in charge but they still haven't name Lewandowski's official replacement as campaign manager. Too much work for one person to do. What do you think is really going on?

Wonder if it has to do with this tweet sent out on Donalds Twitter

Lewandowski just did an interview with Dana Bash stating "I don't have answer to why I was fired"

According to all the articles on Google, Manafort is in charge.

Manafort is in charge. According to Breitbart, Lewandowski was asked how to turn around the relationships with the GOP, the fundraising, polls etc. His only answer was to reveal the VP pick. That was the last straw of a man who ran out of ideas and was fired.

Many reports for the past couple months that Manafort has been given more power and Corey the backseat.

As an interesting aside to all of this, there is a story out today that shows how far behind Trump's campaign is when it comes to staffers on the ground. Trump only has around 100 staff members to run his campaign while Hillary has around 800. Trump is going to need to go on a hiring spree if he hopes to be able to compete, but he can't really do that until he raises some money.

Not a good place for his campaign to be considering the general election hasn't even technically started.

trump's actually reducing his staff. his excuse is he's planning to "outsource" his campaign to the rnc.

the people who gloat at Trump being low in polls: You realise if Trump is not gonna win, Hillary will be president right?

It's like a defenseless woman, alone at night, with 2 home invaders who coincidentally are planning to break into the same house.

Number 1 is a burglar.
Number 2 is a murderous rapist.

Only 1 can enter, because one will scare off the other. People who hope Trump will fail, are like the woman hoping the burglar will not enter her house and steal her TV.

Those people are asleep and clueless about who Hillary is and who she serves. If they would wake up and can finally see the bigger picture, they would vote for a turd over Hillary.

libs. i know your having fun today. please do, muck it up, make it the best time you can, ridiculing the donald. the media has gone thermonuclear with the bullshit, so i know your cocky.

but look at the theme of 2016. The broncos beat the favored panthers, who were cocky, but faltered. The cavs beat the favored warriors, who were cocky, but faltered.

point being, all the hype & glory of the favorite is meaningless. all that matters is the finish line. & we are months away. corey getting fired in june will not be on anyones mind in november.

so enjoy supporting the favorite today, thinking you got it made.

Lewandowski knows Trump is controlled by much more powerful people. The fact that he's so loyal, and vocal, after a public smackdown says a lot

I saw a breakdown of Trump's campaign versus Hillary's.

Trump has 1 person to run 11 states on the eastern seaboard, many of them swing states. He has $1 million on hand. Clinton has hundreds of staffers and $20 million.

That's an example of how woefully understaffed and underfunded his campaign is. Firing that shitbird is not going to make this change overnight. Paul Manafort is not going to to turn the Donald Trump campaign into a fire breathing war machine like Hlillary Clinton's in a few weeks. If by some miracle he does, it will be too little too late.

That $20 million comes from corporations who will pull her strings if she becomes president. Like every other president has done before her. This bitch is like Chucky. Evil puppet.

Yay, more of the same establishment!

The problem is Trump has never run a campaign before. On the other hand, Hillary is a veteran at this and has been running campaigns for the past thirty / forty years including governor of Arkansas, Bill's two presidential runs, and then her campaign for the Senate.

It's stunning that Trump has gotten this far, but let's face it - the only reason he has gotten this far is because he financed most of his campaign. Trump has invested maybe ten million dollars but.... Mitt Romney raised $993 million dollars for his campaign, while Trump has only raised $1.3 million last month. At the same time, Trump doesn't have the staffers on the ground.

Trump has loaned his campaigned $45.3 million so far, adding $2.1 million to the loan last month. Romney had raised $93 million on this month of his campaign in 2012

he's gotten this far because people have voted for him and the media has provided him with several billion dollars of free advertising, not because he financed his campaign.

lol at all of you cheering on that Hillary raised more money, that is exactly what the problem is with elections, and you idiots cheer it on like it's a good thing...

every penny that she raises during her campaign will be paid back through favors when she becomes president at your expense... how can you see that as a good thing?

The Republicans in the Senate work that way. The NRA owns them. The NRA is so deep up Republican senators asses that they vote for suspected terrorists to be able to buy guns. Shameless. No morals. Anti American deep to their rotten core.

Republicans say "keep America safe" while voting to allow those on the no fly list and terror watch list to buy guns. Insane. Bad move. The NRA is fucked soon

most "donations" / "speaking fees" / etc work like that, big donors don't give you $$ because they like your face or because they think you are a brilliant speaker, they give you $$ because they want favors in return... it's basically legalized bribery...

this goes for both Republican / Democrat politicians... however, given that Trump is not a politician, it appears that he is more immune to this legalized bribery, as pointed out earlier in this thread by the fact that he has fewer "donations"...

Trump has billions to lose, Clinton does not.

Trump is a shareholder of Goldman Sachs and 49% of Trump Plaza Hotel is owned by Citibank.
According to Trumps public financial disclosure form & past press releases & reports, he has BILLIONS of dollars tied in with loans & holdings with the Saudis, Chinese, with Capital One, Deutsche Bank, ISB, UBS, Citibank, Citigroup Financial, Lehman Brothers, Wachovia, Credit Suisse, First Boston, Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch.

this goes for both Republican / Democrat politicians... however, given that Trump is not a politician, it appears that he is more immune to this legalized bribery, as pointed out earlier in this thread by the fact that he has fewer "donations"...
If Trump is going to compete in any way in this election he is going to need to raise big money. He is not going to self fund the general election. In order to raise the hundreds of millions needed in order to be competitive he will be forced to take those big donations from the same people Hillary is taking them from.

So the winner will be the person who gets the most money!!

While Americans keep voting themselves out of the political process nothing will change. don't blame corporations for doing what corporations are always going to do. Blame the morons who keep voting for the puppets.

His media coverage is huge because people love watching disaster movies. If he was coming up with workable policies they would be shutting him out. Except in the 21st Century, it should be impossible to shut someone with his wealth out.

There's a thing called the Internet, you might have heard about it. People are able to film themselves talking, explaining and discussing policies on how they will change the status quo. You can try Googling the Internet, Social Media to find out how it works.

The problem is campaigning is still done the same way it was done 20 years ago. ONLY. Beside their sites and manifestos, what else is there?

Still leaves Trump with a problem. His plans, the little he's told us, are batshit crazy. Build a wall, block rivers flowing into the sea (another wall), stop buying goods from China (another wall), spend a fortune on the military and use it and don't go to war.

The EU debate is the same. Neither side will tell us what it will be like in 10 or 20 years time. Or how they will handle the vote either way.

How many people sit on the NRA board and how many members do they have. Against how many vote?

The voters own politicians, the NRA has bought the voters. Vote Sander, vote for the guy who makes the most sense or will upset the political financiers. Start a revolution that doesn't require guns and do it in every election from dog catcher to President.

And don't be swayed by people saying "he's a commie".
