The liberals are still wondering how they lost

Listening to Sky News and reminded of the recent referendum in the UK. They're all trying to work out why they lost and how it will affect the economy, markets, and currency.

What none of them get is the vast majority don't give a fuck about these things. They're not part of the 10% who benefit from the economy, markets, and currency. They're part of the 60% who are being fucked hard by the economy, markets, and currency.

They've lost jobs, income and lowered they're standard of living. They see millions of low skilled migrants lowering their salaries, driving up the price of accommodation, putting them onto benefits, increasing the costs of Government benefits. While millions of migrants work in jobs they could do. Even if it were at the same wage the fact is the applicants for those jobs are swelled by mass migration. The truth is wages are dropping at face value and even more in their real vale.

People are sick to death of voting for the 10%. If Trump hadn't gone out of his way to alienate so many, the result would have been called hours earlier. Democrats and the billionaire backers need to ask themselves why they fucked up so badly.

I was flipping between Fox News and CNN. Whenever they would go to a Democrat pundit you could tell they were genuinely shocked at how this could happen. Of course, the Republican pundits were sufficiently smug. Van Jones on CNN basically freaked out and said he fears for the lives of anyone not white.

They lost because of the constant hate they spew to the people they disagree with. They talked themselves right out of a presidency. The Crockett's and the Bronco67's of the world are largely responsible for this. Nobody likes a snide little asshole and the snide little assholes just got blown the fuck out by the people that are sick of their shit. IMO

not just the GFY liberals. but the hollywood liberals this year have been insane with their derisiveness. it was embarrassing. i agree that they spread so much toxic hate, they offered the voter no issues, other than nuclear nevertrump.

trump won simply doing election 101...while hilary went all in with a toxic corporate media. identity politics hate.

she judged wrong. again.

There was no shortage of smug, self-righteous conservatives who suddenly seemed to have had a come-to-Jesus moment during this election. They got a candidate that was not a lifetime politician and suddenly they were acting like they hadn't voted for establishment candidates over and over again.

Let's not forget deciding that everyone who didn't want to throat Trump's cock sudden got called a cuck.

Liberals were bad, but both sides behaved like bitches.

I include the media in this. Americans are completely fed up with being told they are stupid racist bigots that should be ashamed of themselves for having a belief in god, thinking borders are a thing that should exsist and liking guns. The media is largely the Crockett's and Bronco67's in this equation. IMO

What are you talking about? All I hear from Trump supporters is how Dems are cucks and "fucking faggots". A Trump presidency is an angry white male trolls wet dream.
It's only been a few hours and its already getting very dark and nasty.

So Trump followers think they were Ghandi all along now?

"Dark and nasty"

Somehow I doubt that that behavior is coming from Trump voters LOL

What you heard from the alt-right was an equal, yet opposite, reaction to the drum liberals have been beating for years. I.E. "the working class white man is a racist, terrorist, bigot, gun nut hell bent on killing all coloreds, jews and queers". What better way to mock that bullshit than to give them what they think white people are? Trolls? yes. Brilliant trolling? Absolutely.

to that I say:

Liberals should take a very long, hard, and honest look at themselves and their own kind. It's time to either clean up the whole ideology or lose eternally. This loss should be the catalyst for that. It is my hope that it is.

Neither party should be slapping themselves on the back and the billionaire backers should hang their heads in shame. For all intense and purposes, all three of them lost today.

Trump is hated by all of them.

Imagine what would have happened if someone without his ego and big mouth yet with a similar message had stood. The result would have been a slam dunk. Or if Trump had not gone out of his way to insult a few celebrity woman, Mexicans and campaigned more to the African Americans and Hispanics? Identifying them only as poor Americans.

Now Americans and people throughout Europe have to vote against the Establishment that's deliberately fucking them.

I dont excuse it, but people are afraid they're going to get their rights taken away. No one wants to go back to the 60s way of thinking socially.
My gay friends who are married are worried their marriage will be reversed now. They're talking about leaving here and moving to Spain.
Im worried I'll be without health insurance.
A woman can't get an abortion anymore?
The last 20 years of civil rights progress all wiped out soon. Just sad
My best friend sold his condo 2 months ago and bought a home in canada, and took his money out of the market a week ago predicting this would happen.

Also Trumps first move was to crash the worlds economy. Not a good start.

I'm not wondering how they lost - its very straight forward.

I predicted the brexit vote and this ghastly outcome. The only one I got wrong was Scottish independence.

Its very straight forward because the industrialised nations have not been able to deal with the social impact of technology on the employment market. Unless the governments of industrialised nations can conjure some role for the low ranking uneducated masses then there is a democratic inevitability about these results.

However I am very pessimistic about the future of your country.

Trump wont be able to "bring back the jobs", the fact that he is rich and a successful businessman will end up being his Achilles heel. He wont be able to turn the clock back to the 1950's.

Then when America is not great again I think the real problems will start - he does not respect a free press or the democratic process, he has threatened to put his opponents in jail, and he thinks leadership is about stamping your feet and crying cheat until you get your own way.

I have another unfortunate prediction - Trump will not allow the interwebs to turn on him like it did with Hillary, and all measures will be on the table.

Mr Assange et al should remember that sometimes you get what you wish for.

  • If abortion was going to get revoked it already would have.
  • I think the same is true for Gay marriage, if abortion has stood so will gay marriage.
  • Civil Rights aren't going anywhere either.. for legal Americans.
  • Trump isn't tanking the economy. Speculation is.
  • Most of those protesters are a part of the liberal problem I was talking about. College liberals have lost their god damned mind.

It was a very close election.
Trump: 58,694,422 (47.7%) popular votes
Clinton: 58,544,574 (47.5%) popular votes

She wasn't able to pass the "beer test," (i.e., who would I rather have a beer with?) which has decided every U.S. presidential election since 1992. I don't know why American voters are so hung up on likability, but it's just a sad fact of life.

I do fear for the millions of Americans like me who are about to find themselves without health insurance again.

Hopefully he wont be the vomit he's been in the past and can actually fix what he says he can.

sure but nothing will change. these poor people will still be just as poor if not more so in 4 years. these people refuse to do anything to help themselves instead expect someone else to do it for them and make a return to the 'good ole days'. there is no going back. if you have no skills, you are useless today tomorrow and forever. there are many of us who could of been in the same situation but instead did something about it and created our own jobs instead of expecting someone else to do it.

How can they do something for themselves, when their jobs have gone?

I don't know what your job is, but is your income better or worse after Tubes and other free stuff took all the traffic?

Will it continue to stable if all those unemployed people start doing what you do and happy to earn half the rate you earn?

I agree that the future is about those with high skills. The paramount reason to limit migration to only the high skilled and ban exporting the few businesses left in manufacturing. Even with those measures, the future will hold far fewer well-paying jobs. Even with a lot more spent on education, the jobs won't be there.

So will you as a well-paid person be prepared to pay more in taxes to keep your fellow citizens from rioting?

Or just shit on them?

Besides the victory for the outsider Trump. How many establishment politicians were elected yesterday? If the number is more than 50%, there's the problem. The people vote for the wrong group.

Anyone thinking only Trump can turn this around is an idiot. People have to stop voting for career politicians sucking off the teet of Bureaucrats, Corporations, and Billionaires.

The DNC choose to not support a candidate chosen by the people but instead picked their insider and this is what they get. The DNC is clearly as dumb as the RNC at this point.

the idea that some big company is going to give you good pay for showing up 8 hours a day is dead. people have to make their own way. use whatever skills you have and sell shit, make shit, do something.

i saw the writing on the wall in adult in 2004 and went elsewhere. i still make some money with adult but as far as im concerned, there is better money elsewhere. i've had to change 'what i do' a number of times and will continue to do so as needed.

This is why Clinton lost.

Once a thriving place, employing people and exporting steel around the world, Johnstown Pennsylvania is now running on fumes.

This mirrors so many other places.

Saying Automation and Globalisation is progress doesn't cut it for the millions whose job prospects are working in MacDonalds. Because there's one sector who have become very wealthy from this.

Saying I'm all right and these guys have only themselves to blame. Is stupid. These are our customers and the loss of jobs paying enough for people to have enough disposable income to but what we sell. Is already cutting into our wages.

Dow Jones

Pity the rich don't like sharing. If that money was in the US, it would be taxed and lower your debt burden. So no praise to them for putting you deeper into debt.

Who has seen their wages keep pace with GDP?

Clinton stood for all this. Say what you like about Trump, but it's certain she will not change anything she helped create.

She would of made sure that plunge continued.

They did more than showing up 8 hours a day. They built stuff, stuff that;s now done overseas.

You're part of the past. good luck hanging onto your income when few have enough money to buy what you offer.

Go back 100 years and see where we're heading. See the gap in wages between rich and poor.

For fucks sake Markham it is not rocket science why Trump is popular in the ex manufaturing regions, not even gfy needs your pretty pictures to illustrate the point.

But what are the solutions ?

Get rid of the computers and the robots ?

Go back to one TV and one car per household ?

The prosperity that the west enjoys today is dependent on low cost economies to create consumer goods. Wishing it was 1950 does not change anything. Adding import duties will not create jobs, it will just make the raw materials for US business more expensive.

With regards to the multi nationals that hoard vast sums off shore, Trump will actually make that problem worse. To tackle the power of the multi nationals you need cooperation between countries, not isolationist policies that disregard the outside world. Apple will always be one step ahead.

they built stuff that anyone could build and now it can be built for pennies or by robots. people expect to have no specialized skills and still have a good paying job with benefits? what a joke. you now have to do something not anyone can do. be in demand. my income doesn't rely on the average citizen, i sell to corps around the globe.

If the prosperity you claim the West enjoys trickled down. Trump would have lost.

Adding import duties to countries who sell more than that buy will create more wealth in te West, whether the elite who profit from that share it with others is the debate we have to have.

The poorer establishment supporters think these graphs are the end game. Unless they're stopped they're far from that. The decline of real jobs has only just begun. It's already hitting your income. Eventually, it could make your trade obsolete.

Bringing jobs back in the numbers they once were is never going to happen. What's needed is to bring back production. The profits from those companies have to be shared Expecting Tax Havens to cooperate is waiting for the tide to react to commands of man. Corporation tax is outdated and needs to be abolished. Passing the taxes onto avenues where they can be collected more effectively.

It's not companies like Apple who stay one step ahead. It's greedy bosses who are fucking you to fill their own pockets. Iff the future of our living standards relies on those bosses, the result is revolution. Or we go back to tugging our forelocks as the bosses drive by in their limousines.

Until they find a cheaper supplier in the Third World.

Personally, I doubt if you sell anything to Corporations. Easy to post, try proving it.

You can see why DHL love globalisation. My pretty pictures, this result, and Brexit prove it hasn't made lives better for most living in the West.

As it continues it will put more people out of work or on a lower wage. It has increased the number of people relying on the State for benefits. Some think they should be cast aside, blaming those who've had their jobs and future ripped away from them for their fate.

Will they invest more in taxes to invest in schools, healthcare, housing, etc?

The reaction to having to pay more for Obamacare proves that's a no. Obama isn't to blame for the outrageous costs of American Healthcare. The blame lies at the feet of those big corporations who some seem to think they can rely on.

Here you go
From Thomas Frank in the Washington post sums it up:
Had winning been the party’s number one concern, several more suitable candidates were ready to go. There was Joe Biden, with his powerful plainspoken style, and there was Bernie Sanders, an inspiring and largely scandal-free figure. Each of them would probably have beaten Trump, but neither of them would really have served the interests of the party insiders.

This has happened over and over in the history of representative democracies.
  1. In a democracy two wolves and a sheep decide who is for dinner.
  2. In a representative democracy two wolves decide who gets to eat dinner.

You got played

Neither one of those candidates would have fit into the "identity politics" mold that Democrats now have to use. They will never be able to run a white straight male again - especially an old one.

Besides that, for all of the love Bernie gets he would have been a disaster policy wise.

Not mine but addresses the point of the thread:

Quote:
America has become a place where the people running universities were banning people from wearing Halloween costumes because of so-called cultural appropriation and encouraging adults to act like spoiled infants, coddled in "safe spaces." A racist movement called "Black Lives Matter" declared that all white people are racist, and elements of it were actually advocating racial violence. Yet the left was cozying up to that movement.

New York City introduced laws that call for up to quarter million dollar fines for those who don't recognize some preposterous forms of gender identification which include over 30 forms of gender identity. Very few people could name any other than male and female.

Left wing municipal governments across the United States instituted "sanctuary city" policies by which they refused to enforce immigration laws and provided extensive services to non-citizens which citizens were expected to pay for through their taxes.

The left wing news media stopped referring to illegal immigrants, instead calling them "undocumented workers" as if it there were like someone who lost their drivers' license.

People who spoke out in favor of Israel are subject to harassment and bullying by Jew-hating fanatics on campuses and elsewhere, and leftists defend the anti-Semites, describing them as "social justice" activists.

Left wing media, along with leftist politicians refused to identify terrorism inspired by Islam as Islamic terrorism, instead using the term "violent extremism" as if it was violence perpetrated by people who did it solely for the thrill of being violent. There were some who even insanely blamed the Islamic terror attack that resulted in fifty gay people being massacred in a Florida nightclub on "toxic masculinity."

People criticizing Islam for its misogyny, promotion of violence, and homophobia dismissed and derided as "Islamophobes," even if those critics were liberal Muslim reformers. Yet any other religion can be openly mocked or insulted as part of the cultural norm.

If someone tried to speak out against these hypocrisies and injustices, the left accused them of racism, misogyny. Often, out of a sense of outlandishly inflated entitlement, the left would shut down their right to free speech by disruptions that often include violence.

And the rest of us finally have had enough of it.

That's why Donald Trump won the US Presidency last night.

There were indeed other factors including the economy, the desire for a change from the previous administration, and the unlikability of his scandal-ridden, Democratic challenger.

But the pent-up urge to push back against the sanctimonious, oppressive, bigoted totalitarianism of the left was a huge part of the political success of the new President-elect.

Trump may be a deeply flawed candidate, but he was alone among presidential candidates of this generation who was bold enough to at last speak out about the tyranny of the left's political correctness.

So if you're a leftist who is wailing about how Trump has supposedly "normalized" racism, misogyny, xenophobia, and whatever ills you can dream up, you're wrong. He hasn't. What's happened is that for millions and millions of Americans, Trump has provided an antidote to years of you trivializing those terms, along with the term "social justice," to the point that they're meaningless.

So if you're a leftist and you're looking for someone to blame for President Donald J. Trump, take a walk to the nearest mirror and look there. Because you did it.

This is such total disgusting behavior it winds me up. Left extremists with no respect for anything than their own moral decay. This kind of hate needs to be dealt with swift and strong.
