She is supposed to be running the Trump Organization separate from her father?s administration to avoid any potential conflicts of interest or their appearance. The Trump family appears to be struggling mightily to avoid these conflicts.

?It looks to us that he?s clearly not able to maintain a blind trust and still keep the company under his ownership and, frankly, control,? said Jordan Libowitz, communications director for the ethics watchdog Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. ?We really think that the best thing he can do is sell the company outside of the family and place the money from the sale into an actual blind trust. ...?

...The Trump transition team did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Further evidence that it could be impossible for the president-elect to disconnect himself from his foreign businesses comes from a key diplomatic appointment that Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte made days before Trump?s election victory. Duterte announced that Jose E.B. Antonio would be the country?s envoy to Washington, D.C., for trade and investment. Antonio, chairman of Century Properties Group, is Trump?s business partner in the Philippines. His business is currently building the 57-story Trump Tower at Century City in the capital Manila.

For countries and foreign leaders more used to a corrupt government environment, there will be numerous opportunities to curry favor with the incoming president through his businesses.

As a matter of fact the House and Senate are also exempt from similar laws where they can enrich themselves and its totally legal. They don't like to talk about it of course but if you recall 60 minutes did a story on this a few years ago.

However, I agree in concept -- 18 years (3 terms for a US Senator) 18 Years (9 terms of a House Rep) then pension them out. This would be worth the expense to get rid of the 70-87 year old men and women trying to force the USA into its past times

No idea where you live but the US is totally amazing. People here have it pretty amazingly good. We have a healthcare issue. Otherwise crime is down and jobs are up. The rich are richer since hard assets have been restored to bubble status but overall the US has zero issues but race. The middle class was not upset with Washington on an economic level. They were mad at the erosion of white privilege. That is why this is so fucked up.

3. So far all I see are negative things that he is doing.

It's going to be fun watching storm away from podiums when asked something he doesn't like -- which will be very often. Today, a reporter asked him about Chris Christie and the bridgegate scandal, and Trump ducked into a black SUV while saying "we like Chris Christie alot!" Get ready for the king of dodging to take office.
