You said "no more than any other live yoghurt" which suggests you have a view of regular yoghurt over live yoghurt.

Not necessary. It may suggest that he suggest that activia is just a brand and it does not make it better or worse than other live yogurts. And at the same time he may not have any view regarding live yogurts.

Tried Yakult a few weeks ago for its probiotic effects, last thing on my mind was that it tasted nice. Not my cup of tea.

It's supposed to have effect on stomach health, so are you taking it for better toilet results?

Activia on the other hand tastes better but not sure if it ever helped me.

If I was in Russia I would never buy kefir from danone brand while you have all the national brands (also imported brands from ex USSR countries), that are probably less "chemisized" so to speak. Kefir is pretty much a drink of that region, so danone's kefir sounds like a stretch, just overpaying for a brand.
