![]() sorry libs. Trump has balls, & he knows what he's doing. Just on the carrier deal, a piece of shit deal for indiana taxpayers, trump is a specialist at selling himself. same with china & taiwan. brilliant bullshit.
some of you morons think 2018, there will be the anti-trump wave. think again. Dems have to defend dozens of incumbent senate seats, many of them in states trump won. & even though the carrier deal is a snowjob, nobody believes the liberal media when they been shilling fake news on trump for years now. nobody believes a news media that was openly supporting hilary, put up polls that turned out to be a complete fraud. This will enable trump to get away with lying, because the media itself lied so absurdly during the campaign. Nobody believes liberals in the media anymore, except dumb libs. ![]() & then theres this 2020 census issue. If GOP still controls so many state governments, the GOP will be in position to totally "n-word" rig the map around all the illegals that are turning red states purple. stop this bullshit of dems winning elections with illegal alien voters & takers. who on the democrat bench has the skills to out-duel trump? schumer? warren? Pelosi? ![]() the next 4 years could literally send democrats into oblivion until 2028 earliest. ![]() |

Can Trump pull off what he promised?
So far I like what he did talking to Taiwan, China needs to respect its customers. Like what he did to Boeing telling them to supply for the price or not bother. Can any candidate bring jobs back to the US or at least stem the flow out? Can he really stem mass legal and illegal migration? A fence won't be enough, he must remove the lure for migrants without high qualifications.? Should any politicians in the West fail to do those things. By 2035 the unemployment levels will cripple the West. |

just pointing out the irony of you complaining about people getting something for nothing when you're one of them. you were better off making posts about music and guitars.

At this point, who knows. I think a lot of it will be determined by how Trump does. The Senate map and Republican gerrymandering will make it hard for the democrats to win back the House or Senate, but two years is a long time. If Trump is doing well and things are good, I doubt the Democrats will make much progress. If Trump is doing poorly and things are not good, the Democrats have a chance to potentially regain control.
Historically speaking, the party in power loses seats in the first midterm election because the opposition tends to be pretty energized after a loss and often times the party in power's supporters get a little disinterested. I would expect many of the Millenial voters who opted to not vote for Hillary to turn out and support Democrats, especially if Trump is doing poorly. Let's not forget, 8 years ago Obama and the Democrats won big. A lot of people looked at that and thought, "We can gerrymander the shit out of things in 2010, we have some Supreme Court nominations that will likely come up allowing us to stack the court, and the Republican party is in shambles and going in 10 different directions. We can run this country for the next 15-20 years." Two years later they lost control of the House. If this election taught us anything it is that you never know for sure what is going to happen. Let's also not forget, it isn't like the Republicans won a landslide. Trump barely won the election and they actually lost seats in both the House and Senate so it isn't like the country overwhelmingly carried them into power. |

A lot of people are going to make a lot of money -- damn few people
![]() I see most of what is going on as smoke and mirrors so far. I should align my views with prosperity at any price because I will be dead before they poison the earth and reduce the masses to survival in servitude. Hopefully, that will not be your future. If it is --tough shit -- you bought it hook, line and sinker. |

JG lets revisit this a year in. Too early to say anything except you are correct the 2018 is a hard map for dems.

point is though, its not a slam dunk that the dems party in 18. the trend of a blowback vote is there. but another factoid not well discussed is the dem turnout is bad in mid-terms. the GOP's gains in 10, 14, have a lot to do with talk radio, & people with jobs sitting in their commutes who are solid voters. more solid then the dem coalitions when theres no president to vote for. & when you see the dems are re-electing the same old same old, things are gonna be a mess for the dem base in 18. #demexit looks like the left wing tea party brewing. ![]() |

I really think it will come down to Trump and his performance. There is already a large group that hates Trump. If he doesn't do well it could have repubs not too eager to get out and vote in 18 and it could fire dems up. Of course, if Trump does well it could have just the reverse effect. I think in 18 the repubs will hold the Senate, the map for them that year heavily favors them, but I think the dems will make a strong run at the House. I don't know if they will take it back, but I think they will gain seats if nothing else. |
