The reason Bush was able to sell the war and get others on board is because he and his admin, cherry picked the fuck out of the intel reports to claim Saddam had WMD then used that to sell the war to congress and our allies. Tony Blair also did the same thing on his side of the pond..

The reason so many members of congress went along with the war and voted in favor is because they believed what Bush & co was telling them. This wasn't a case of failed intelligence starting a war. It was a case of an administration nit picking intelligence to push a war.
