Russia on the other hand makes their troops remove their Id when sending to fight in Ukraine and often hides the body count in Syria..

I don't think they hide the information about killed troops in Syria. They hide personal info of course for the soldiers privacy, but they regularly post how many and where were killed (it's here in Russia - I don't know what the US media says about it). The Ukraine is a way different story. The Russian troops are fighting there illegally. It's something that you call "some covert op".

Russia was sending hundreds of soldiers to Syria early on as "contractors" and they hid the death tolls and hid where they died from their families.

What sources told you so? Russia really has a lot of contractors (and w/o quotes) there, but speaking about 100's of dead is a bullshit of course and surely their families know where exactly their members were killed. That's not some kind of a covert op. War in Syria is a legal mission (the Russian army was officially invited by the government) and it's well covered in the Russian news. To say better it's always a news #1 on TV with live reports from the battle field etc. There is no need to hide anything about it. It's not a war on the Ukraine.

One more thing about contractors. There is no need to use a draft army there and there is no secret on who fights there. All those guys are professionals (they are get paid for their job) and they don't even hide their faces and names (no reason for that):

Правда у Гитлера фашизм был строщен с антисемитизмом и назывался нацизмом, а у нас фашизм классический по лекалам Муссолини. Для Германии кончилось все плачевно тогда. Но у нас есть шанс. Там совершенно все те же лозунги, что втирают нам всякие киселевы, соловьевы и т.п. Вот абсолютно те же самые. Типа "ты для Родины, а не Родина для тебя", "сплотимся вокруг национального лидера" (затянем пояса типа, ага), "либерализм чужд нашей культуре". Ну и все в том же духе. Лично я (как несложно догадаться) не сторонник фашизма и считаю его злом. Поэтому меня очень сильно напрягает слышать те же лозунги в современной России.

for me Russian politics these days is a mix of oligarchs and power services (FSB, some army etc) that are stealing what they can. 3. Make people feel themselves insecure. Like anything may happen in every minute (e.g. ISIS will attack us, Ukrainians or Americans...) Make them think there will be chaos and the skies will fall if something happens to our Great Führer.

These are 3 simple rules that were used by Joseph Goebbels, so does the Putin's propaganda. If anyone has watched Russian TV "news", he knows what I'm talking about...

If someone doesn't like shitty village municipal hospitals, he goes to private clinics with personal rooms, plasma, blackjack and hookers where he'll get everything (even a blowjob from a nurse - not a problem... for your money). And those clinics are still 10x times cheaper than private clinics in the USA. If a Russian doesn't like a free medicine (which is not available in your 3rd-world country), he uses a paid one. What's wrong with that?
