Sugar is something that, in excess, can be very damaging to a person. Why not have a sin tax on it? So long as the money goes to something good, which likely isn't the case here.

It will never work. They just create a black market. Or people will just drive out of county for it and all of the money flows to the surrounding counties.. And then they are left trying to find another way to pay the bills. The state is bankrupt. The city of Chicago is likely beyond.

So everything from chocolate milk to iced tea to sports drinks to even lightly flavored water, etc.
