Determining price for blog site and how much I should be making?
Hi guys,
I got my first blog up and running for a few months now and since I'm totally new to.. well.. everything.. I'm clueless about how to determine the right prices on my site IF i were to sell something on it. I'm not gonna do it any time soon, but I was just wondering on how to set the right price.. Info: I got a clean amateur blog with only 1 popunder running at the moment. I haven't sold anything nor have I done any link building yet. I get like 5k UV a day.. and almost 100% is organic.. My site is growing weekly and it seems like that google loves my blog. Top 10 geo is all tier 1 countries and 80% is US.. bounce rate is +- 60%.. (which is good right?) I have no outgoing link atm too. Question: If I were to sell post with these stats, how much can I ask for? What about hard links (1 year) and navbar (monthly)? And what about if I want to sell my site? (Even though I haven't monetized my site at all.. SEO is worth something right?) Oh and how much should I be making from ads with 5k visitors? I'm only getting money from 1 popunder atm. No banners or whatsoever at all.. Thanks, |

5k visits seem like too much without any linkbuilding to me. I had aged blog with over 350 posts (300-1500 words), with incoming link from other blogs and I haven't had such traffic at all. So that's not good, but very good. Depending on geo/devices you should make around $1-2 per 1k visits. 60% bounce aint that good. You should be around 45%. Price of site: 6-12 months of revenue. Price of post: Depends on demand. I'd go with $40. Hardlink depends on site stats PA/DA, source of traffic, but I'd go for $150/y.

Hi RachelBlackG,
Thank you for your response! Is 45% BR the average for an adult blog? I have no sources or whatsover to compare and haven't really read about it on the internet. I will try and make that lower! Thanks again! |

30-45% are good values...try to lower it. You can try to switch from popunder to banners, add more related articles etc.
