I just looked up the shooter, Stephen Craig Paddock. Since 1993, he had 38 different addresses and bought a plane in 2004. His plane is newer than his car. Moved to Mesquite, Nevada in June 2017. Looks like he once purchased an apartment building. Outside of moving around so much, he seems like a normal guy.
