But mass shootings are not really the issue in the scale of gun deaths, its the accidental deaths, suicide's and small confrontation's that cause the most and a large percentage of these are preventable with minor and sensible changes to gun laws.

Every country will have to rewrite/ better enforce gun laws as technology changes, just a matter of do you wait until one gun can kill 10, 100, 1000 or 10,000 people.

Here's another little seen video because youtube deleted it. Notice people start running before the main shots start that most video's show. There are a few shots that pop off before then that are more clearly heard and that's why they start running at first. Also there was already a helicopter over the scene when the shooting started

But let's try to answer your question anyway.

1. Government involvement
2. Government doesn't want to admit that even with all of their spying and prying they still can stop things such as this.
3. Government can say one random off the radar guy slipped through the cracks not a group of individuals.


Motive: Government needs to increase it's spying capabilities so they can narrow it down to off the radar lone individuals. Even down to putting body scanners in hotels so you get use to someone looking through your sex toy bag.

Paddock worked either for the government or a government contracted company his entire life. It's now appearing that he wasn't actually "retired rich." That BS made no sense anyway considering his claim to fame is co-owning a apartment complex that sold for 2.1 million. It's fresh on the scene but it looks like he may have been utilizing those 2 planes that no one seems to want to talk about or knows where they are.

A helicopter hovering in circles over an outdoor event would be continuous for only a short period of time that it is within audio range. The *other* gunfire I heard in one audio (video) seemed to come in bursts.

In one week no spent casings of a second gun have been found nor any eye-witness has come forward. Total mystery (so far). The authorities are really reaching -- but I believe they do not really know. This is not a planned cover up.

Assault weapons are not the problem -- people are.

If you leave a assault weapon in a semiautomatic configuration and do not attempt to circumvent the law with bump stocks (or the like) then there is no real difference from a semi-automatic hunting rifle -- other that the dick-wad-bad-ass mentality that goes with owning these assault rifles -- again that is a people problem.
