First the police said that the security guard was a hero who stopped the massacre by engaging with Paddock. Now they are saying Paddock shot the guy a full six minutes before the massacre started. They have no reason as to why he stopped when he did.

They also changed the day he checked into the hotel to the date that "conspiracy theorists" identified days ago.

There's some graphic material here, so I won't post the images directly. Odd that he supposedly killed himself with a small revolver shot to the chest, that revolver ends up over his head, his foot is under another gun set up and he is laying on a rifle.

There is not any narrative falling apart. Initial reports are always wrong even official reports but particularly media reports. Eventually it will all get sorted out to the best that it can be sorted out. Almost always in most events there are unanswered questions and this is what people like you and those like you have a field day with.

During the event...there was a report a woman was shot and killed by police in the Tropicana...headshot. However it was a report from a police scanner....so..could be false

They just let him lay there to bleed out for over an hour while they searched floor to floor? But I thought the alarm alerted them to the floor and that's how they found him?

Also what would be the point in him shooting the guard to begin with? Couldn't he have just waited until he was gone? If the door ajar alarm wasn't his door then why was the guard even at HIS door?

I had the news on just now while eating breakfast - I haven't really watched the news in the past week or so - and it seems this now is the case.

And?

It means as the investigation continues and they are putting together a timeline. All we knew before was that the shooter engaged the security guard. The security guard was alerted to his room (or a nearby room) by an open door alarm. The gunman most likely saw the security guard on his cameras, assumed the worst, and opened fire.

See not seeing anything out of the ordinary here.

You just answered your own question. The security guard was up there to check a door alarm. You just said the fire door was blocked.. The shooter obviously tripped the alarm when he blocked the fire door..

He was likely ready to go then he tripped the alarm.. The guard probably spooked him and screwed up his escape plan.

He started his shooting and after 3 clips he stopped. He either realized he was completely screwed because the cops were already there and he couldn't escape or he realized what he was doing and stopped..

The above is way more likely than your conspiracy theories..

As for why the cops didn't know of the security guard, call it the fog of war. 911 would of been having shit loads of calls, most likely the only people who knew of the security guard was the security team and they probably didn't even know exactly what happened.

The cops on the sceen were probably being told lots of conflicting stories by various people..

This is what happens during an investigation. They try to figure out what happens. The story changes multiple times until they finally agree on what happened. This is complicated by the fact that we have news media outlets taking random facts, stringing them together, and coming up and publishing their own theories. And once they've figured it out all, and they all agree on everything... They still might be wrong.
