In the name of saving the children or protecting us from China.. Trump wants to go Hugo Chavez and "nationalize" 5g networks.. How he intends to do it is beyond anyone with a brain, but he says he wants to do it before the next presidential election.

No idea why... but sure there is a money grab in it somewhere for him..

Then there are the roads and bridges.. Trump's grand plan to pay for roads and bridges, is to allow states to place tolls on interstate highways and charge Truckers even more than they already pay. This is stealth tax on everyone, because pretty much anything you buy gets shipped on a truck. Charge truck drivers more then it gets passed on to consumers..

I will sit back and wait for reasons this is a good idea from same people who said raising wages would drive hamburger prices up.. The planning, funding, building, and maintaining of freeways is a state function, not a federal one. Outside of funding some freeway projects the federal government has little to do with any of freeway infrastructure. In the case of Pence he was a former governor which is why he was involved in toll roads. Pence might have brought this idea to the White House, but it's Trump who is applying a state model to the federal government.

It's bullshit all around. I live in California. We pay out the ass for our roads. Not only do pay for our car registration (hundreds of dollars a year), but also a state gas tax that just went up with the new year. Now you are telling me they want us to pay yet MORE to drive on our freeways? Fuck that.

It sucks because it will seem like a lot of money but your highway systems are the largest in the world with the most traffic and NEED upgrades and maintenance. Ours are dwarfed by comparison despite them being pretty expansive themselves. We have less tolls but our taxes are much higher, so it all ends up coming out of us either way.

That's been a Republican wet dream, to sell off our road ways to private groups who would then charge tolls.. Red states have been pushing this and the states that do it, you get fucked over and the roads remain shitty. The companies then complain each year that the tolls aren't high enough and try to get the states to increase the tolls.

The thing is the state let's them charge a toll, but also charge you a billing fee and convenance fee. So that dollar toll turns into $5..

It took forever, and cost $324 million dollars. That's just the beginning. Next they are fixing the interchange between the freeway and Interstate 80.
