The Donald has started a trade war with China.
He denies this of course. This may or may not help American Business's but either way does it not hurt the American consumer. Why would the consumers/the ordinary Joe blow want this for our country. In what possible way is this a good think for the average Joe?
Educate me please. |

China started it decades ago brother.
Intellectual property theft alone costs the US 200 billion dollars a year. And then of course the fact that China nails us on anything they import from the US while our so-called "leaders" bent over and took it...500 billion dollar trade deficit. A "trade war" has been going on for over thirty years and we have been losing it. |

Why are the libbers siding with a country that has a horrible human rights record, one of the highest execution rates in the world, stealing American jobs, building itself up to be the #1 power in the world, etc?
Please explain. |

The Chinese own a lot of U.S. debt -- $1.189 trillion as of October 2017. The U.S. should rethink a trade war with the country that has them by the gonads. As this debt comes due, China may decide to invest it elsewhere and that will most certainly increase U.S. interest rates.

If getting China to pay what it owes for technology were the goal, you’d expect the U.S. both to make specific demands to that end and to adopt a strategy aimed at getting China to meet those demands. As usual with Trump, there is no strategy.

Right now it's nothing but bargaining chips. In negotiating a deal you always start high. Both the U.S. and China have started high. Now they both have "wiggle room" to come down to a compromise and a deal. And people I respect that are simply great at making deals have always told me...A good deal is when both sides THINK they won. That is the goal. SOMETHING had to be done here...the political and economic "experts" that I watch every day on the news channels are predicting doom and gloom. And so far they have all been 100% WRONG on everything they predicted with Trump and the economy. I'm not even sure how those people have jobs on television anymore. I think if you step back, realize this is a negotiation...as all trade deals are. And then factor in that previous administrations had people in place with ZERO negotiating skills...then it becomes clear that it's about time our country put a stop to being ass-fucked by the rest of the world on trade. |

If you read his book you would understand the strategy. Neither you or I have ever negotiated deals on the level that Donald Trump has for over 40 years. As with every other prediction made by people who are not experienced in the way Trump is...what you are saying is your opinion based on what you THINK should be the way it's done. I would say...watch the RESULTS. It seems like every move Trump makes he is being jumped on by the media. They almost undermine his negotiations through their "coverage"...which amounts to nothing more than negative opinions of what he is doing. I think he's doing the right thing. I am of the opinion that Trump is dead on with the economy and trade. |

That shit happens across the board. They have also stolen technology in the same way making fake Intel chips for instance. It costs our country (and many others) hundreds of billions of dollars per year. And it shouldn't be tolerated. Our country opened the door to China and allowed them into the WTO a few decades back. But they break EVERY rule. How the hell can the USA compete with them when they are stealing and cheating at every turn? |

There is nothing made in China that can not be made in the states. That is what China needs to worry about. Americans already have three tv's three phones and 10 pair of runners.

I am tempted to insult you because of your complete rudeness to me that was unwarranted. But I'm going to stick to the issue. It doesn't matter if people can get cheap shit from China. That's not the point at all in a trade deficit. The trade deficit isn't because they make it so cheap. They will STILL make it cheap after this is all settled. The trade deficit is happening because THEY won't allow us to sell our products in China at the same rate that our idiot bureaucrats negotiated for them to sell their stuff. This is a bargaining chip to negotiate a better trade deal. We aren't ALLOWED to sell them as many things as they are allowed to sell to us. Don't worry...China will continue to make plenty of cheap shit. And they NEED us to buy it from them. Maybe instead of trying to be a jackass on a message board and talking to me like you think you know me...maybe you should consider that and give Trump a chance to negotiate. So far he's been 100% right on every move. And the pundits have been 100% WRONG. |

Maybe you're right. But I don't think so. I think the market is reacting because they know this might take a few months for the dust to settle. My guess is we will see a rebound (again) next week. But who knows? The market is nothing more than people buying and selling stocks. Maybe a ton of smart people will swoop in and buy up a ton of stock at this lower price point and make a fortune on Monday. OR...maybe they will calculate the market might go lower and wait a few days to make their moves. |

… but you don't, you send fucking genetically modified Soya beans.. Trillions of dollars under EXACTLTY the same trading conditions the USA is saying is bad.. And sure there is a few industries China is over protective of, But until America wakes the fuck up and makes products the Chinese actually want to buy … like every other fucking country making bank there, and is complacent in a disposable plastic cup lifestyle... then sure your going to have a trade imbalance. And as far as the stock buyers go, don't you think the Asian based traders are.. exactly the same? One side panicked.. one side laughed it off... There's a message in that. the H U G E problem right now is China is the biggest growing international market, we can't stop that, but we surly all can profit from it, but what it requires is the Chinese consumer buying your products. And if you think what Trump is doing is going to entice the Chinese consumer to buy more of "Made in the USA" you are sadly wrong. Chinamen have very good and very long memory, they no like America product for very long time because of that silly man in 2018. Trump is not only fucking you now, he has ass fucked you as an entire country for the next generation.. |

Reality is Xi is pulling back trade barriers left right and centre, his speech Tuesday will be interesting. Watch Xi pull down trade barriers and greedy American businesses jump ship faster than Trump can take a dump and leave him and his isolationist views with egg on their face.. Is Xi Jinping set to announce plans to transform But be very clear none of it has ZIP to do with Trump... Xi is da man! Also note that even the Chinese admit Trump pulling out of TPP gave them the greatest boost ever! Would ?America First? Trump be Xi Jinping?s first choice for president? "Trump’s withdrawal of the US from Barack Obama’s Trans-Pacific Partnership dismantled at a stroke the region’s most effective tool for countering a future Chinese economic hegemony. And the US president’s boorishness and unpredictability only make China look like a credible regional leader by comparison." That's what the Chinese said.. not TPP partner countries... TPP would of allowed the USA to really implement sanctions against.. Russia, and Putin could not have that! |

Today...lost in the news media frenzy over Trump's lawyer being raided...Trump's threat of tariffs in negotiations with China began to pay off:
Xi Jinping speech: China pledges to cut auto tariffs amid US trade clash And for all the folks on here who mistakenly THINK Trump "started" a trade war by threatening tariffs...read that article closely: China has had TARIFFS on auto imports all along. China "started" the "trade war" a long time ago. The U.S. just rolled over and surrendered. But now that has changed. I don't care what any of your OPINIONS on Trump are. He is 100% spot on with the economy and trade. He has been right 100% of the time and his detractors and "experts" in the media have been wrong EVERY time. |

the thing's that were hidden in the news today was Trumps own budget office said your totally fucked: https://www.cbo.gov/publication/53651 And Its come out Chinas building a military base in Vanuatu China may be building a Vanuatu military base: reports Robbie this is trumps economic plan.. "The federal budget deficit rises substantially, boosting federal debt to nearly 100 percent of GDP by 2028." AS REPORTED BY HIS OWN FUCKING BUDGET OFFICE!! who more than likely are softening the blow and mincing the data.. as all Governments do. And that's IF interest rates don't skyrocket and IF natural disaster events don't surpass the 2017 level, either one blows it out of the water. Wana know Xi's 2025 plan... I think you better look it up.. Because it certainly doesn't involve 100% of GDP going into Debt payment. |

The CBO uses static numbers...it's impossible for them to be able to foresee potential growth (and also potential downturns in the economy). Their numbers don't take into account INCREASED federal revenue that occurs as an economy grows. Here is an article from Forbes from last year that shows the inaccuracy of the CBO. They've basically been WRONG for years now on all their predictions: https://www.forbes.com/sites/theapot.../#6627836e67a2 Being "bi-partisan" doesn't mean they are smart, correct, or reliable. It seems that it's just the opposite. Being wrong every year they should probably be shut down as a waste of tax payer money. A good accountant with a pocket calculator could do a better job. |

Even this very thread title states that: "The Donald has started a trade war with China." And NOW, when Trump's strategy worked...you pretend that none of that happened and everyone knew that China was going to do this already? And there was NEVER any danger of a "trade war" after all? And why would China do this without Trump's tactics? Let me guess...Pres. Obama probably had China ready to submit the whole time and they just happened to pick now to do it. ![]() You are twisting yourself up trying to keep from admitting you're wrong. Had of Xi said anything different, right now the USA would be in melt down. Your president might be willing to wipe billions off in a day, XI won't because he's a leader not a celebrity TV host primarily concerned about ratings.. but he can after all the USA represents only 21.1% of their trade.. Xi save the American markets from collapse... eat it up! Population wise, the USA has a far greater trade imbalance with Australia, don't see the Australian government screaming much about that do we, in fact they were willing to open it up even more but then Trump cancelled TPP, even though the USA had a surplus with us. Ask your pork and beef farmers how that worked out for them.. hehe Australia just went straight to Japan and nicked your market share from there. The imbalance the USA has with China is to do with your consumer habits, and what your trying to sell them back. Stop trying to sell the Chinese shit, and stop consuming 2 dollar crap and the problem goes away. But nah must have those chemical sugar fruit loops for breakfast... Also the trade imbalance disappears naturally as China grows, the world's just at a crossover point, they already consume more than they can produce and their only at 25% The best indicator if Trump had anything to do with this.. is look at the news in other countries, if Trump was responsible, no other country would be more appreciative than Australia, as 80% of our trade is with China, pulling back sanctions makes us.. Trillions https://www.smh.com.au/ Dirty local politician.. Trump gets a mention over FBI thing and usual dribble over local community news. See its not even mentioned.. because it was already in progress and we know all to well what China says and what China does can be very different. Its got to be all over German news right.. BMW's their biggest company News and current affairs from Germany and around the world | DW no See Robbie you have been clucked by your media, right wing sites and the idiot you have running your country again. But lets say Trump did do this, and its only because of Trump! Dear glorious leader trump. List of countries that benefit the most from sanction removal from China in order, above USA Hong Kong 47.8% Kyrgyzstan 37.8% Macau 36.7% Cambodia 35.3% Myanmar 33.9% Mongolia 33.2% Cuba 29.2% Pakistan 29.1% Ethiopia 28.8% Togo 28.7% Paraguay 27.3% Iraq 26.9% Japan 25.8% Solomon Islands 25.3% Vietnam 25.1% Bangladesh 24.3% Chile 24.3% Kenya 24.1% Australia 23.4% Indonesia 22.9% Peru 22.8% Uzbekistan 22.2% Russia 21.6% Thailand 21.6% South Korea 21.4% Madagascar 21.2% Rwanda 21.2% United States 21.1% I guess you can call that the art of the deal? China has opened its markets for ALL countries, there's no special trade deals being done with the USA.. yet, But Xi has made it clear that's not what he wants, he's a Globalist "China is a vanguard protector of globalisation and economic liberalisation. Those that reject innovation will be left behind and be assigned to the dustbin of history,” Xi said. “Human history shows that openness leads to progress, while seclusion leaves one behind. ”cold war and zero-sum mentality” was out of place." |

If America moves from buying from China to buying from other countries to protect the wealthy and hurt the rest. It will sink into third, then fourth, then fifth place. Funny watching you cheer for the wealthy. How much of the debt you owe have you paid back yet for bailing out the banks? |

Next thing Trump needs to do either by bombing or starving is hand China, North Korea, That will give them military bases in the south China sea they want and an unlimited supply of cheap labour ( All great economy's need their slaves ), Russia will probably try and muscle in on that but China will win. All the cheap shit the Chinese want will come from North Korea and they can also pass off their major polluting industries. China is not immune to internal conflict however, they have plenty of their own old cranky people and radicals. |

And why in the hell would China sign something like that to shoot themselves in the foot? Trump is NOT looking to "slow the growth of China". He is looking to have them stop CHEATING. They impose tariffs on our products. They steal intellectual property. They basically act like a third world country and cheat on everything. Time to put an end to it. And if you would simply follow the NEWS of the day...you would know already that China has indeed "blinked" and Trump's strategy is working. The TPP? What a joke. Educate yourself brother. |

^^^ Supports Trump attacking the adult industry and signing FOSTA into law, pretends Craigslist stopping adult ads doesn't impact him getting strangers to fuck his wife on camera.
