loud, strong deep rumble, then gone.

I read it was felt for about 80 mile radius, all of the Cartagena to Alicante coast.

Anyone living near LA? There was mean´t to be a 4.5 today?

Check the house foundations and make sure nothing has cracked, any thing precious that's on a shelf secure it, even bluetac is enough for minor rumbles. Drink bottles or boiled water for a few weeks. Quakes rupture/ crack old pipes and stuff takes councils time to check them all. Have an earthquake plan. Earthquake Plans

I missed it - I live just up the road from Natalie and everyone is talking about it...

In NZ they just ignored them - I remember being in a bar in Wellington and the earth started moving - People just picked up their drinks so they didn't spill and carried on talking about whatever - They didn't even mention it - It was my first so I was screaming like a little girl and trying to get under the table -

And yeah the complacently in NZ when there's a quake is insanity to an outsider. ChCh had more 11,000 after shocks for two years after that big one, 60 of those in the 6-7 range. You might dive under the table for the first 20 but certainly when you past 50.. you just stop, wait, and then carry on as normal, biggest comment you will hear is "Ooll that was a big one ".

Take the time to look at the safest places in your house and secure any thing that's loose.

I was in Mexico City when the 7,2 earthquake happened last september.
I never gonna live in Mexico City after that one.
Wasn't my plan anyway, but won't stay there more than 2 days anymore also.
Felt like i landed in a surrealistic war zone.

I have seen parents waiting at a school for news about there children trapped under the building.
Some where happy after they got some news, some broke down after terrible news about their kids..
I saw hundreds of Mexicans dig out people under collapsed apartment blocks, just a block away from mine.
It is like a lottery what buildings will collapse and what will have no damage at all.

absolutely! here´s Lorca, about 100mile inland from me. An earthquake from maybe 10yr ago, a few people died & many were injured...
