Took a little getting used to but I think I like them about the same. For me, the new layout doesn't really improve the site, it just makes it different.

old one looked like something from 1998, the new one looks like something from 2008. definitely a step towards the good direction, but not quite there.

I rarely use the web / browser version since I would always browse on my phone using the Alien Blue mobile app which has been unchanged over the last 6 years.

The design is not so important. Reddit is my favorite site since it brings value, heck, sometimes I can find more useful info there than on google directly. I kinda like old school sites, I don't know why. They probably bring back nice memories.
