:mad Ebay can suck my fucking balls

As an Ebay user both buying and selling for about 15 years or more I have never had bad feedback.

I sold an item for my wife at £200, used clear pictures, clear description, and clear title. Which all showed and stated size etc. On, and no refunds. Since it was brand new and boxed.

After the buyer had the item for a week they decide to send a message saying "oh my bad I ordered the wrong one, send me your address so I can get a refund thanks".

Now, normally I wouldn't made a big deal about it but the listing couldn't have been more clearer, and to just assume i'll happily take back and refund kinda bemused me.

I left a message asking if they wouldn't mind listing it themselves since it was no fault of mine and had the dumb bitch looked at the pics or read the title and description correctly she maybe wouldn't have been such a dumb ass and not bought the wrong thing.

Before I even got a reply I had my first negative feedback in all those years, and Ebay being Ebay, you cannot leave negative or neutral feedback as a seller wtf ?!?!

So basically anyone can buy shit ands just decide "nah i'll have a refund on secondition thoughts (even though it said no refunds) and there's nothing you can do about it.

Thanks Ebay you piece of shit.

Never sell expensive shit on ebay. It's rare I sell anything over $100 there. That's why I only sell clothing on eBay because I have very little investment into a single item. If I'm selling anything pricey it goes on Amazon or gets sold locally.

EBay has a long history of screwing sellers.

The fact that the buyer isn't in the wrong for A. Not looking at the listing properly. B. Clearly didn'the look at the pics. C. Chose to ignore the no returns policy.

Yet Ebay allows that same buyer to leave Negative feedback, yet the seller can't defend or leave negative or neutral feedback in return is bullshit...

Open a dispute ticket and get the negative review removed. Your buyer's in the wrong.

Well it depends what the feed back is. If they said you refused the return and told them to sell it yourself then I can see them letting that stand.

You probably fucked your self by telling them to sell it theirselves. Best to just leave it as straight and simple no returns in your communications. Just restate what your add says. Soon as you start deviating from what the add says it gives them room to get away with shit..

Keep in mind, I'm not saying you are in the wrong but you always have to be very careful with communicating with buyers on ebay because they can use that against you.

If they lied in the fed back you can maybe pick apart their review and get it removed saying it wasn't accurate.

Edit.. as far as returns.. if it's a new item, I'd make it a policy of no returns on "open" boxes but allow returns if the box is unopened.

Then make them take a picture of the unopened box prior to being returned. Maybe even state that in the return policy.

Still worth a try to fight the review though, eBay will remove bad reviews if you can show its not accurate on even one part.

Ebay fees and treatment of sellers ran me away years ago.
Maybe I can do things differently way and try it again though.

Good luck getting a bad review deleted. I have had Ebay employees tell me they will do things like remove a bad review and they end up doing nothing.

Keep calling ebay till you get a rep that will decide in your favor to remove the feedback.

She is probably looking for a part refund scam

I know a guy that can remove bad reviews, payment after its done.

Regardless, bad review is the least of your worries, she could have file a return for "item not as described" and ebay would of let her return the item.
Basically there is nothing you can do against scammers, just hope it's a small % of your sales and write it off as the cost of doing business.

Over the past 22 years i have watched e-bay go from the de-facto auction site. To an expesive out dated idea.

I just sold a camera a month ago for $3000 plus $85 shipping. PayPal took $85 and e-bay took $300 Leaving me with $2700. No wonder it's more expensive to buy on e-bay than it is on Amazon. People have to factor in e-bays charges and paypals ? I don't see e-bay lasting too much longer at this rate.

You used to be able to do this, but i don't see that feature anymore. I guess they removed that aswell. Which sucks.

"Seller refused to refund me"

"Yes because the item was clearly listed and it isn't my fault you are a time wasting imbecile that can't read, plus it stated no refunds"

At least then people checking your 'negative' feedback know the deal

Always state that you'll take the item back but you're not refunding the shipping, and they are paying the shipping to get it back to you. That alone will stop most of the problems. You could always offer them a partial refund and let them keep the item and not deal with a shipping headache.

I went to eBay a few years ago and was shocked at how it had changed. Prices were high and shipping was outrageous. I had to fight for a refund and eBay refused but PayPal sided with me.

Occasionally I’ll peruse the site but rarely buy. Last item was $4.25 for a wrist wallet. Zipper broke on first use so I requested a refund. Sure, if I pay $6.45 to return it to China. Seller was obligated to pay shipping and refused. PayPal again resolved it; full refund and return not required.

Seller advertised it in NY but it was in China.

But eBay took 10% of your camera sale? I thought it was 3% or lower. Amazon has the funds to be a serious competitor. I’m surprised they don’t focus more on auctions.

I believe it used to be lower, years ago. I also fucked up on the shipping cost. Ended up costing $104.00 to ship and insure as it was in a Pelican case and weighed in at a whopping 30lb. But that was my fuck up not e-bay

It isn't letting go me respond to the item in question. Fuck them. My 15 year 100% is down to 94% now because of one dumb bitch.

I really don't get eBay's way of thinking with this though:

Quote:
Sellers can leave only positive ratings for buyers. That means buyers should feel free to leave honest Feedback without fear of retaliation. We also have safeguards in place to protect sellers against unfair negative or neutral Feedback
Ridiculous...

Cause Amazon already kicked the shit out of ebay. Amazon has made over $200 billion this year to ebays $10 billion. I got tired of buying off ebay and waiting a week or two for delivery. They are a dinosaur.

If the listing clearly stated “no refunds” then I’d file a dispute with PayPal. Tell them you see the refund but your policy was stated in the listing. This is about money, so go to the money processor and explain.

If the terms were clear, a refund was not warranted. You want back $385 plus the feedback removed.

As I said earlier, eBay said no so I went to PayPal. They reminded me that ordinarily a refund isn’t processed and they’d make an exception. I just said thanks and moved on. But I wanted to rip the seller a new butthole.

If you politely keep pushing with verifiable facts, you’ll most likely get money back and the feedback removed. You want to say FUCK U AND EBAY but stay cool.

I sold a printer and added $25 for shipping. Buyer was in California and shipping was $36. I beat myself up for a while.

I sell as no returns and state very clearly no returns, as is, etc etc several times on all listings.. If I have an issue I call up support and point this out and it's generally resolved in my favor.

I sell higher $ items that can only go freight.. It's not fun at all eating hundreds of $ in freight to send an item as well as get it back....

Ebay did change something recently but I'm not sure what... On my last return request several months back they didn't automatically freeze the funds in my paypal and also allowed me to decide how to handle it...

I think they're close to being sued over their 100% guarantee and sticking it to the sellers so something is changing....
