I think Trump is one of those guys who certain people will get along with great and other will be like oil and water. I have a feeling Tillerson was one of those oil and water guys. Like you say, the two didn't share a vision and it sounded like they butted heads. I also get the feeling Tillerson wasn't really excited by the job and he may have taken it because he felt he had to or he would look bad. Regardless of the reasons, it really does feel like Tillerson and Trump likely never really got along and now are at that stage where they are both saying how they really felt about the other.

All that said, you have to admit having the POTUS and the former Sec. State calling each other names on Twitter is terrible form and makes us look bad. Every president has multiple cabinet turnovers. The difference is the other presidents didn't then call their former staffers dumb as a rock in front of the world.

Rex Tillerson took the Secretary of State job to fascilitate removing Russian sanctions so Exxon Mobil could complete their $3.2 billion deal with Russia in the Arctic.

He's not. Cohen did. Tillerson did. Trump is busy relentlessly doing the things he promised in the campaign.

I like that he is stopping other countries from fucking us on trade. I like what he's done for the veterans. I like what he's doing for our Energy sector.

As I said before...Tillerson is a brilliant and mega successful guy. But being Secretary Of State with Donald Trump as President was a total failure for him.

The two of them didn't seem to ever warm up to each other. It was reported that Tillerson had called Trump a "fucking moron" while working for him.
Obviously Tillerson had a different vision of foreign policy than his boss, The President, did.

So it didn't work.

But "illegal"??? I think the fact that Pompeo is getting the things done is proof that Tillerson is giving his own opinion of why he was ineffective.

Now you can either LOOK at that Washington Post article (since you are ignorant of world affairs and have no idea what Trump has accomplished in foreign policy) and educate yourself...OR, you can just keep posting that you have no idea of it and keep looking dumb.

And there you have it. Robbie could care less if the President is a crook. His cult followers are morally bankrupt.

I really don't care what the reasons are for it, but you rely on other skillful folks to get it done.
If you can't get'm, where does that leave you ?
I think that most will realize that within those next 30 days.
I will say and give 'some' credit for trade as it pertains to China, but will that cost more than it's worth in the end ?
Only time will answer that in perhaps a year or more. I think it was a bit to aggressive.

But I also think once his tax returns are out there... it's over for him in every sense of the word.

We are now two years into Trump's administration and other than a massive tax cut for the rich he has nothing to show for it. Not a single thing is done. In the Middle East the Palestinians won't even talk to us, they haven't done anything about the opioid crisis, the computer issues with the VA are getting worse, North Korea is enlarging their missile program, the Russians are physically walking all over Ukraine, we have a trade war with China and American businesses are shutting down....

Of course this doesn't even get into how the Trump administration is knee deep in the largest investigation since Watergate which threatens to impeach Trump.

How do people not see this?
